I didn't see anyone else post about this commit. Not as highly rated as other folks we have been getting along the defensive line but definitely different than anyone else on campus from a size perspective. The guy is massive, still seems to be pretty agile for his size, and looks like he is losing some weight which is much needed. Seems like a bit of a project but it will be interesting to see him once he gets into a good nutrition program along with a college level conditioning program

I thought it said 280 when I first looked at his 247 profile…
6’3” 380 is a massive dude. He will at least be a space eater for you guys.

He seems to have slimmed down a bit to 350 or so. Definitely an asset in short yardage situations.

If I read correctly he was around 420 for awhile there but is down to the 350 range.

Does a&m run a 3 man line now?

No. We have been and will continue to be multiple. Durkin ran that 3 man front stuff out Ole Miss out of necessity. We have way too many really good hand-in-the-dirt DLmen to run that.

Jimbo wants four man front and that is what Durkin will run.

If I remember right when Durkin was at UF, he switched a lot between three and four man fronts. At Ole Miss I don’t think he had the personnel to run out a four man front

He gonna run a 4 man front every down of every game. If he doesn't he deserves to be fired.
Glad to see we have a run stuffer in the pipeline.

Haven’t been able to break that out in awhile.

Another great find by Fishers staff. He will easily be a 4-star along with Naquil by December.
And luckily Fisher is picking players for need and their own internal evaluation metrics....not purely based on stars from regional media voters. Rigged system either way. We trust in Jimbo. Smaller class this year and OL, LB and WR are the highest needs but should be 2-3 deep at most positions after this cycle.
Ain't quite there yet....but 2023 is coming fast!! 2022 is still a building year but we should still give Bama a serious challenge for the West.

Just looked this kid up, and this is the first image I saw. I’m not getting between him and a meal.

A&M has been dropping a DE some and running that 3-3-5 stuff, so I stand partly corrected. But 4 man front will be our base, and we won’t bring a 3rd LBer to run the 3 man front stuff.
Enai White has looked great, and he’s well suited to sometimes drop to LBer depth.
