I do think is is happening.

Saban is freaking out that other programs can pay players now.

He’s just an average coach without superior talent.

So, none of Arkansas coaches are going anywhere? OC or DC not going anywhere?

Auburn would probably back up the Brinks truck for Kiffin, if for nothing else than the Kiffin v. Saban story line alone. I think Aranda would be the better long term investment though.

Ryan Day is 43. If he continues to produce (which it seems he will) he has the Ohio State job as long as he wants it. He seems to do things the right way. I'd love to have Fickell someday but I don't think I see the opportunity coming up.

By this, you mean he doesn't break the low, low standards of covering up domestic violence?

Why would Stoops leave one of the easiest contracts in college football? I get that he's an alum, but I just don't see that happening soon unless something absolutely ridiculous happens

I’ve said that for years, him or Freeze.

I’ve also thought Kiffin would be the next Bama coach, maybe that will open it up for Freeze to replace him?

As easy a Kentucky is, Iowa is easier. They don’t fire coaches. Ferentz has had some stinker season yet he’s never on the hot seat.

Dave Aranda, 45, probably wants out of the imploding Big 12.

He'd be a good pickup for Auburn. Young energetic and seems to be proven now. I would keep an eye on that one. The only thing that might cause him to take pause would be the politics between AD and boosters.

In fairness, Stoops could do as well as Ferentz, and he has had a nice long leash for 23 years. He has finished ranked (Top 25) only 10 times. He averages almost 5 losses a year. (4.8)

Ryan Day - Jim Harbaugh has his number. He’ll be on the hot seat by the end of the year.

They both will look at head coaching jobs IMO.

Whenever Pittboss retires, I'd love to have Odom or Briles either one as head coach. Mizzou was dumb to fire Odom.

If Texas-San Antonio or Houston open up, I'd expect Briles to go after those.

eta: one thing unique about Odom's career, after coaching high school for 3 years and 1 year as a GA, he sat at Gary Pinkel's feet on the admin side with player development and then Director Football Ops. That was five years of nice education on how to run a football team on every issue imaginable.

Plus he came out of that becoming a great x's and o's guy.

Odom can still be a star.

He is a great coach and may leave Ole Miss for one of the top 10 programs should they come open…..but he is on the record of saying only a fool would want to follow Saban.
