To imagine that the three of them blew the CWS because they couldn’t catch a routine pop fly that they learned how to catch in tball is the most Arkansas thing ever

The blame only goes to one person, and his name is Carson Shaddy. He blew up the play. The most Arkansas thing ever, however wasn't that play... It was that the team had no clue how to recover from the missed pop-up and Van Horn had no clue how to calm his team down, compartmentalize the loss, and light a fire under them for game 3.

Its no coincidence that the two most successful coaches at Arkansas in the Big 3 sports over the last 40 years were Nolan Richardson and Bobby P... Two guys who had absolutely zero fear of losing and, instilled monumental killer edge into their teams by fear and fire.

Musselman also has a lot of these traits, too.

DVH manages not to lose. Arkansas baseball needs to someone who manages with a killer instinct and not a quick-hook, hope we don't blow this demeanor, like so many college coaches instill in their teams.

There is no such thing as a big 3. The only big 3 is football, football recruiting, and spring practice.

They were voted #1 in the final FWAA poll (which was equal to the AP and Coaches polls at the time) at the end of the 1960 season and it's listed on the NCAA site here: LINK
That actually surprises me. I honestly thought the one they were claiming had to have been 1962.

Voting back then made no sense. They were ranked ahead of USC to begin 1962, although both were undefeated OM had better wins, and still USC recognized as sole NC? And the “shared” title from 1960 seems like a sham too considering Minnesota had 2 losses and OM was undefeated. I know championships were claimed before the bowl games but still. Pollsters truly did have a bias against the South.

If you get rid of DVH then who would Arkansas hire? Be careful what you wish for.

Imagine if Arky had caught that ball, it would be 6 consecutive years now where an SEC team won the CWS or finished #1 in the polls.

Mizzou fans are still hopeful. Even though our chances may be slim, we have another 78 years to win one in this century.
