Haven't heard much about NIL and UK football

Wandale did very well with NIL and so is Levis. I think the fact that we had our highest rated recruiting class ever this year shows we aren't slouching on NIL.

It’s ingenious, really. Commuter school numbers but you indoctrinate them into a cult so they will donate for life back to the hive mind

Why not claim UK? They’ve won more men’s hoops titles than aggy has combined in major sports.

Say what you want I still consider the Longhorns the premiere college of Texas

Okay. I will bite. Again this is because you’re not smart.

Actually both schools have nationally competitive schools. Each focusing research in different areas. For example both have great engineering schools but each specializes in different areas. Same with Computer Science. This is true of many programs. Also, the culture is very different.

One is urban one is a more college centered location. Depending on what you want.

You’re entitled to believe whatever you want but the reality is that each school is extremely good at what they do.

That said, the horns can’t beat Kansas. So there’s that.

You're screwed. Anything you win in football will be considered a bought and paid for accomplishment and if you don't win anything noteworthy you will be ridiculed mercilessly. No-win situation.

This is a weird flex. Is this your money? What's your contribution?

What will they allocate the money to next once they finally realize the ROI is terrible on Aggy sports?

Pretty sure the state of Texas has bigger things to invest in than A&M title 9 sports.

You think you’ve claimed championships because of some divine right?

Every single win y’all have is an asterisk.

Every championship will be bought and paid for just like Bama’s.

If you don’t think bama has been paying players for decades, I have ocean front property in Arizona to sell you

We're SO rich. If you're a fan of a school that's used to having all the resources and all the advantages, and now you feel your power slipping, honestly, you should be scared as hell of us

I can assure you no one is worried lol. Another weird flex by the weirdest group of fans I’ve ever come across. Let’s worry about Vandy’s endowment next guys.

You should look closer. They are definitely different quality programs pursuing different outcomes.

As of 2020 stats Texas took 13k less students, who had higher test scores, and graduated at a higher rate, with less debt. They manage to do that with a substantially better student to faculty ratio (Texas has 250 more w 13k less students). With their level of level of funding for instruction, research, and academic support Texas spends almost $16k / 50% more per student than A&M, while having a slightly lower tuition and fees.

These are 2 schools doing different things.

Source: 2020 Texas Public Higher Education Almanac

(update: just looked at 2021- and the trends appear to be expanding, A&M with 15k more students and almost 400 less faculty to support, so this differentiation appears to be growing)

What does this have to do with football. Based on the info out there it seems football is not the priority the aggie fans make it out to be.

Half the money seems to be going to the other 10 campuses and only $100 mil going directly to football. Seems not a huge investment.

UNC systems is dropping over $100 million alone next for esports arenas and facilities at UNC and NC State.

Also putting in reserve for capital building another

quote:

$2 billion is reserved for the capital fund to cover the cost of building renovations on campuses across the state.

On top of what else has already been approved for just the next two years not 4 like a&m

Not sure what the big deal is for what a&m announced

Must have spent to much on their football recruiting class

Wildcat and one of my grad years is in my username.

But I did undergrad at Texas A&M.

I can only have one of those little logo things.

Seemed like a reasonable compromise.

If you don't like it...I don't care.

I like WalMart.

If your WalMart is shitty, then it's because you live in a shitty neighborhood.
