It's hard to find a better argument than these two individuals.

Simmons was Rookie the year, all defense in two consecutive seasons which earned him a max contract and is still 25 years old

So no. Not the biggest

Simmons is one of the most talented players in the NBA. Has made multiple all-star teams.

Ben Simmons and Anthony Bennett aren't even in the same universe when it comes to draft busts.

If you want two high pick busts from the same school Art Schlichter went #4 and Greg Oden #1

Ben Simmons is not a bigger bust than Anthony Bennett, so the argument is already invalid.

Simmons is a great defensive player but not a good offensive player and is a headcase.

Bennett has successfully been argued as the worst 1st overall pick in the modern NBA, where the only worse ones are ones from the old old days where some of them never played a game.

Oden get a bit of a pass due to medical problems.

Someone shared the story the other day about how his problems dated back to breaking a leg in middle school and never getting it properly fixed, leading to his legs being different lengths as a result. Portland saw this in the pre-draft medical reports and still took him over KD.

Art being a degenerate fricking gambler killed his career.

The biggest LSU NBA draft bust is probably Tyrus Thomas. He went 4th and had the career of an okay 2nd round pick.

Stromile Swift went 2nd overall in 2000 and was godawful.

It gets overlooked because the 2000 draft was arguably the worst draft in NBA history. At least 1986 could blame a lot of its issues on drug use.

Depends on context.

Orlando will never live down taking Fran Vasquez around 15th one year because he never joined the team.

That is the highest pick never to play for a team that didn’t die between the draft and the season in the modern NBA.

Simmons is a head case. JaMarcus still not a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf. All I got.

Simmons is no where near a bust. 3x allstar and 2x All defense team isn't a bust.

Anthony Bennett
Micheal Olowakandi
Greg Oden
Andre Bargnani
Markelle Fultz
Kwame Brown

Those are busts. And Anthony Bennett will likely never be surpassed as the biggest bust. He didn't even make it to a 2nd contract, and it wasn't b/c of injury like some of the others.

The state of Washington can be a bust with Fultz from Washington and Leaf from Washington State.
Or you could just say Washington with Fultz and Steve Emtman (1992 draft), who played 6 seasons in the NFL only two of which he played more than 9 games.

How many #1 overall picks does fricking alabama have dickwad? Oh yeah, 1, from 70 years ago. Eat a bag of dicks.
