It's not fair to include Kelly's time at Central Michigan and Cincinnati. Just stick to ND.

I'm curious how you will Agscuse it away when Brian Kelly starts owning Jimbo every year.
It will be interesting to see.

So you're saying Brian is the same a jimbo?

Brian Kelly is the 4th winningest active head coach in college football. Where is “Jimbo (lost to LSU JV squad with lame duck Orgeron)” on that list?

None of these "facts" necessarily apply to Jimbo at A&M vs Kelly at LSU.
Are you suggesting that Kelly is a worse coach than the guy who Jimbo struggled to go .500 against?

The coach we fired for losing games beat a&m after we fired him. You can spend all day and night playing with irrelevant statistics and you can't change that very sad fact.

I’m suggesting that after analyzing both of their records, these are 2 coaches who’s best days, (winning percentage wise) were probably left at their last jobs. There’s just way more competition in the sec west.
However, Kelly will have more talent at LSU. I think he’s a good coach. I just think he couldn’t get it done at the highest level of the sport. It remains to be seen how well he will do having more talent but also vs. higher competition.
It’s obvious that with NIL, Jimbo will have a lot more talent to work with at A&M in the next 4 years than he did his first 4. Will that matter? I think it’s pretty obvious you don’t have to be a world class coach to win with the kind of talent we just signed in 2022. But we will see.
