Correct, it does not remove all of your rights. However, if you want to continue being paid by said job, you must act accordingly and in line with what is acceptable for an employee. Just as you are free to exercise your rights, they are also free to fire your arse.

I'm going to guess that you are around the 20-24 age range.

Conservative leaner here and I don’t give a frick.

Their freedoms. Their choice. Do I do this? No. But I’m not going to let something so insignificant to bother me.

It clearly doesn't and that is why I wouldn't support the SC basketball team. They don't like the national anthem, I don't like them. It is a free country. They can protest, so can I.

It isn’t about free speech as much as it is about respect. The anthem represents me, it represents you, it represents everybody in this country. The players and coaches disrespected everyone in this country by their actions.

Ask a person from Ukraine what their National Anthems means.

I still don’t get the fascination with what other people choose to do. You can disagree and have differing opinions but a knee in the grass or not being on the court isn’t going to ruin my mood. More power to them exercising their freedoms.
bullshite!
Those scholarship athletes represent the school, and their collective message to the country is one of disrespect!
If they want to protest the country's Pledge of Allegiance then stop accepting the country's scholarship money, or ANY other govt. assistance that they're probably getting!

Well, seeing as how the coach is still employed, I’m guessing her employer is fine with her actions. I’m guessing you’re in the 50+ range and complain about kids pants and that darn hip hop music.

I think we all know what would happen if the school were to take action, let's not act like we don't.

Ya, they’d look dumb for firing a championship winning coach over a nonissue.

Your degree of patriotism has been duly noted.

Let any team from UF do this and I will root for them to lose every game until all the people running the program are gone.

I'm curious about this

If an important Florida football player came out in support of a liberal policy that you think is wrong or bad for the country, are you just wishing that player does very poorly or the whole team? If that player's poor performance causes the whole team to struggle is that still ok in your mind? How does your view change when its a player or a couple of players instead of the whole team?

Damn, that's low reaching for an American to say.

It's always been done as a sign of respect for the men and women who gave their lives so it was possible for everyone to play games while they dodged bombs/bullets and died.

Don;t EVER feel so good as to seek a high road on standing for the anthem. It makes you a lot of fricking things including a coward.

They fricked up. Your little BLM dyke coach did it on purpose, and everyone knows it.

Nah, I'm good.

I hope you said your pledge of allegiance this morning. You aren't a true American if you don't pledge every morning.

Lmao you mean the govt lending that allowed colleges to jack up tuition prices knowing full well that the govt would loan the money out to them?

College tuition is out of control because of the govt.
