Well he hasn’t been The Man in past off seasons. This new team needs leadership and QB1 has to provide it. Maybe SB only functions well as the underdog? Regardless, Kirby will work it out.

So, are you hoping Stet works it out and leads us to another Natty?

Every player who has spoken about Stet dating back to Roquan have all raved about his leadership. You could see the impact of his leadership at the end of the nc game.

People may not like the notoriety stet has gotten but his leadership on the field is hard to beat.

So i am going with history not jackasses with a questionable agendas.

Next you will tell me that Stet has been told he has no chance of starting then boom, he is qb1.

We could have easily had the number 1 offense last year, it was a coaching choice to call the dawgs off in the 1st, 2nd, and occasionally the 3rd qtr.

We could have scored 70 in almost 3/4 of our games. Could have gone over 100 vs Vandy, UAB, Tech, and Charleston Southern.

Me too. Break their undisciplined asses.

I think that speech is what got UF to overreact and fire grantham which cost mullen and created the downgrade.

You make a lot of points about nothing that has to do with what I posted.

Stet earned his notoriety, he’s a national champion, I have no questionable agenda, I’m not questioning how well the offense did last year. I pointed out that it wasn’t a good sign that Kirby was publicly calling out Stet about how he was handling himself and his new role. My suspicion was confirmed by one of the most trusted insiders that posts on these types of forums.

My further suspicion is Kirby didn’t like some of the comments Stet made about how he made his decision to come back and how he wanted to wait until he saw what decisions the coaches made in the offseason before deciding to come back. He said some of the decisions he liked, some he didn’t like. I imagine Kirby was bothered by him being so blunt, although I appreciate that as opposed to the bland types of quotes you typically get. I think Kirby thought, if you’re gonna be blunt, so will I.

There are different types of leadership.

Im not sure you see that.

Stet took shite from the coaches and continued to work. The defense gets that daily from kirby/boom/etc.. they relate to sucking in the criticism and the yelling from coaches and working to improve (instead of getting inside of their feelings).

That isnt a vocal leadership.
That isnt a proactive leadership (organizing a trip to california to work together).

Same answer I gave when I responded to this question the first time you asked it:

“And, I hope Kirby plays the QB that gives us the best chance to win, just like last year.”

Who gave us the best chance to win last year?

This is a new year. I trust Kirby to put us in a position to win. Are you such a fan boy of Stet that if Kirby goes another direction you’re gonna be this year’s kunt?

Kunts are people like yourself. Stet has accomplished far more than you ever have in your life.... Who are you to judge.... Hell, as college player he has accomplished more than the Mannings ever did, kirby or muschamp as players. He did ao in the most improbable way. People like you dont get to lecture those who have reached the most improbable mountain top like Stet.

What will be will be, its spring you moron. No point in starting division so soon. If he gets played out of the job this fall so be it. Spring ball tells us nothing anyway.

For those that read it, Talk'n Dawgs has a comment up from SoFl more or less confirming that Stet hasn't been holding up to the expectations of a veteran leader (ie. Kirby's comments were specific, not general)... both on the field and in class. Going to be interesting to see how it all shakes out for sure.

Is SoFl a divisive, miserable moron, as I have been called, for pointing out the exact same thing I said? Isn’t this message board the exact kind of place where we’re supposed to debate and discuss these kinds of issues? or are some things just off-limits because they hurt your feelings?

You are goddamned right I’ll be pulling for Stet to help us get another one. If Stet gets hurt or loses the job, I’ll feel bad for Stet and pull for the next guy up. It seems pretty simple really. Too bad we have so many horrible fans.

Maybe that’s why beck has been taking most of the #1 reps in practice the past few days?!?

In the spring it's commonplace for all QBs to have days with the 1s. You certainly can't do that in the fall so spring is the perfect time for it.

I don’t think we’re gonna get very far if you’re telling me what I think.
