Daniels to LSU (Thamel)

Sources: Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels has committed to LSU. Sources tell ESPN he’ll be eligible for spring practice and should arrive there the next few weeks.

Kind of a weird addition, no?

Feels like when Miles took Rob Bolden from Penn State

Yup. I’m not crazy about it, but he could be a serviceable backup and be used similarly to how Perrilloux was used with Flynn. We’ll see.

Is there rumblings of someone already being spring/summer transfer out?

More touchdowns as a freshman than Myles Brennan’s 5 years at LSU

Brennan really resides in aggy domes for some reason

I guess that touchdown pass to make it (at the time) 48-7 really struck a nerve

I’ve heard if Nuss isn’t named starter then he will be going in the portal. This seems like a pickup to guard against that.

I’m glad he didn’t end up at Mizzou

The ceiling is there but he sucked bad last year and his teammates seemed to hate him.

Can’t even imagine he’d start at LSU so kind of a weird destination for him

That would make sense

We have room in the class and plenty of scholarships.

Showed promise his freshmen year but probably wasn’t a good fit with Boise’s OC they brought in.

Worth kicking the tires and having a backup that isn’t a FR

Seems weird.

But Brennan for as long as he's been around has only started 3 games. Far from a sure thing. And our new OC Denbrock had Desmond Ritter the last few season. Might want to run a similar offense.

I don't mind it. Brennan has a lot of talent. He just can't stay on the field. This will bring in some experienced competition. Maybe Daniels thrives under a different coach and with better athletes around him.

Already the top QB in the SEC

My sources say Alabana wanted him BIGLY.

Too bad!

Bayou Brian stays winning

I agree. Seems odd for both parties. More so even from Daniels’ perspective.

He’s the quintessential “this could be the year he makes that big jump” quarterback.

QB depth is never a bad thing and he’s genuinely talented. I’d be happy as an LSU fan

Why would that make sense? Brennan is a senior and Nuss is a redshirt freshman. It’s probably not true. IMO it’s about getting a dual threat qb on the roster.

Because if Nuss left you'd be down to a true freshman backup and this would give another option in case the true freshman wasn't ready.

Yeah that's what Denbrock likes.
