Not a great start to the series for sure, only bright spot is that most of the damage was done in the second inning. I guess that’s something positive, right?

Well, for the most part our pitching actually held up really well. Other than a couple/few bad innings all weekend we pretty much shut Tennessee down. Damn shame we couldn’t get any offense yesterday, and downright gut wrenching to give it away today after how well we played in the first 7 innings. 2 outs in the 9th and let them score two to tie it up and then have a couple chances to win it after that and can’t get it done. Damn this team is frustrating to watch.

Not gonna lie I haven't watched a game since the LSU series

I didn't check on the games much this weekend. I did turn the radio on in the 9th today. Just in time to hear the 2 run homer to tie I think. I turned it off hoping I was the bad omen and we would come back, We didn't.

Yeah that series has pretty much summed up the season. A little good and a lot bad.

For those not watching:
Gators up on Kentucky 5-0 at the end of the 5th. Kentucky made. A bunch of mistakes in that half inning and it feels like they are ready to implode. It’s nice to watch someone else struggle.
**knocks on wood**
Now can our bullpen hold it down for a W? Sproat has been good but a little wild. He’s back on the mound to start the 6th.

Gators had a great week, led off by blasting USF 18-3. Jud Fabian became the Gators 4th all time leading HR hitter with 3 in that one game.
Then they got the sweep against Mississippi St., the first SEC sweep of the year.
We're looking at 2 very winnable series left in the year, Missouri and USCe, if we take just 2 of each of those series that puts us at 15-15 in conference play on the year, pretty disappointing. If we can finish the season with 3 straight SEC sweeps and finish 17-13 we may make a team or two nervous heading into the post season.

This team will only go as far as relief pitching will take it. They were better this past weekend but have been inconsistent for most of the year, as has been the hitting.
Hopefully they will get on a run and make some noise in the post season.

I really don't see them going very far in the postseason but they do seem to be on a good trajectory as far as peaking at the right time. I just don't think the peak of this team can be sustained for very long. They do have me more interested at this point in the season than I thought I would be halfway into the season.

Well, should have had the sweep over the weekend but shite the bed on Saturday. Still got the series win against Mizzou.
Last night wrapped up the season long series against the Noles with one of the more fun games I've watched in a while. Started off pretty hot, trading runs back and forth for the first 4, then pitching took over for both teams until Thompson hit a walk off homer.

Fun game to watch, had a little of everything, good hitting, good pitching and a walk off Gator win over the Noles.
The Gators need a big series against the Cocks this weekend to set the table for the SEC tourney and to host a regional.

The Gator baseball team is starting to gel at the right time and walk off homer against fsucks was icing on the cake.

Too many issues with the pitching staff, really all year.
If the bats get hot at the right time, they can certainly make a run because the talent is there, but I don't have high expectations for them in the postseason.

Big win last night, let's see if they can follow thru with a Saturday win. and a Friday win. Forgot this was a Thurs, Friday, Sat series.

After a lengthy weather delay, Gators got the win to advance to the double elimination part of the SEC tournament. Had to go to 10 innings to do it, not ideal with our pitching staff for sure. Sproat was a beast though, had a no hitter going into the seventh and thankfully pitched 8 and a third.
Hopefully the bats can wake up today against the Aggies.

Although it was an extra innings game, UF only used 2 pitchers due to the tremendous pitching effort of Sproat.
Bats need to come alive today and the bull pin has to come thru again to beat a good aTm team. Go Gators!

Good win over Arky today although the bull pen made it interesting again. Go Gators.

Definitely surprised they managed to get in the Final, love that we clobbered A&M. Interested to see who/how many people take the mound tomorrow.
