I have something to watch that we are actually good at instead of Mike White looking lost on a basketball court taking L’s from teams who haven’t won in a month.

Baseball Schedule

Let’s hope O’Sullivan gets us back on track after going 0-2 and BBQ in our own Regional last year.

Definitely a disappointing end to last season, let's hope we can make some noise this year.

Napier threw out the first pitch tonight. i've seen better form. he was a QB afterall. not a pitcher. it turned out to be a nice strike though.

It was a decent throw. Didn't try to do too much. Just focused on getting it in the right place.

I’m sure it’s better than I would’ve done, I’ve always assumed I’d overthink it and throw a dud if given the opportunity to throw out a first pitch.

Just saw that all 3 projected starters in the weekend rotation are lefties. Interesting.

Barco looked real good yesterday, should be good on Friday nights. Hopefully Manning can step up tonight and get us a solid 6 or so innings. Tomorrow we got a freshman on the mound. I have a feeling Saturday and Sunday rotation will be pretty fluid early on in the season.

Well, looks like we have a LOT to figure out going forward.
Lot's of opportunities today that we just didn't take advantage of. Pitching was just not good for most of the game. Hitting was OK, but not in spots where we really needed it. It's obviously very early in the season, but this team has a long way to go.

Lol, I hear ya. I’m not a Negagator at all. I think we’re going to be fine, it’s early season baseball, just saying we got some shite to figure out.
Coppola off to a good start, loving his energy out there. Let’s get those bats going!!

3 games into the season is definitely not the time to panic. Plenty of time to figure some things out.

That said, we are not a Top 25 team at the moment. Looked identical to last year in the series - average pitching, average defense, a few flashes of offense, but just never really put anything together and got guys in scoring position. Hard to win games that way period, but especially in the SEC.

This baseball season doesn't look promising same problems as last year. Pitching is about average and hitting is miniscule.

Will be a tough year.

Why should this be any different than Football and basketball? A shite year all around for UF men's Athletics.

Last night was fun to watch, kinda feel like we should've blown the doors off more than we did with the way Stetson was playing but a comfortable win is nice.
Ficarrotta looked good out there, hopefully he's someone that can work his way into more games. And it was nice to see the bullpen all step up and pitch well.
Sterlin Thompson with 3 HRs thru 4 games, wow.

It’s a young team overall. Going to be some growing pains. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t expect some guys to step up.

For all the hype around Fabian, he needs to show out. If he plays the way he’s capable, we get Halter and Calilao going, and Sterlin Thompson’s bat stays relatively hot, we may be able to have a decent year offensively. Pitching? That’s a whole different story. Have to start working ahead, attacking the zone, trying to stay out of deep counts, and not hit guys with arm side breaking balls.

18 freaking strike outs, impressive no matter who you’re playing. Gotta keep that kinda shite going and we’ll be all right.

Heck of a game by the staff. Hopefully that performance injects a little confidence and swagger into the rest of the team.

Georgia State wanted to chirp, Barco and Fabian gave them the smoke right back and helped lead us to a W. Need everyone else to get the same attitude.

Slow start this afternoon but they’re having fun now. Seeing some good aggressiveness on the base paths and good energy from everyone. Got some young guys in late too, Lastres goes yard in his first collegiate at bat, awesome.

Frick Miami!

Not that I ever need a reason to say that, but kicking their asses this weekend is a good reason to say it.
