I still like Murphy and Caldwell and had them on auto-pay for probably 15 years, but I quit out of disgust brought on by Marshall that didn't even involve this new Harsin stuff. His sources are Tim Jackson and other geriatric hangers-on of the AU program. The next speculative article Marshall writes that turns out to be correct will be his first.

Nobody is perfect.
Are you saying the PTB wasn’t trying to get him gone and Gogue’s statement was accurate? If the PTB failed then obviously shite changed.
If Gogue’s statement was accurate then Marshall isn’t the only one deserving of crow

Many of us have been cautioning folks for years here that Auburn just doesn’t have insiders. The Thamels of the world break Auburn news because they work with the agents.
They figured out something was going on but none of them really had a finger on the details. And that’s what always happens. In the absence of those details being made available officially or through leaks we’re left with these guys trying to fill in the gaps. They typically do a poor job.

Yes, I am 100% saying that. Were their people who wanted him gone yes. But the so called PTB seem to lose every time.

When have the so called PTB ever won. It is a fake narrative.
ETA: Never have and never will give those hacks a dime... I did pay the $10 for on3.. I tend to like it.

Well you have to define and identify PTB. I tend to believe Gogue here. Internet rumors and message board rumors are not always true (Remember the Cam Newton Saga, ATPB for all the proof you need).
I also think Gogue and the administration dropped the ball when they acknowledged the rumors, but the only option was to say no comment.
I personally would have not commented and confirmed an investigation.

I think his point is, Auburn should put it squarely on the people that wrote articles from anonymous sources etc. Announce they have zero access. Then they will reveal their sources or they will be out for trying to destroy our University and Football coach. Somebody needs to pay for this charade and that is the best way to do it. Who’s paying for something when the University says they have zero access?

I have to believe the PTB was out to get him. There was a violent rush of Harsin is gone posts 8 days ago that didn’t come from nowhere. It seemed coordinated.

He had to make a public statement. Harsin was smeared and the university was getting clobbered nationally.

Yeah, I'm just suggesting they can’t do that. And as PM has said before, they already don’t allow interviewing coaches and players. All Auburn is currently doing now are the press conferences and there’s not a huge incentive for them to ban media from those since it’s all public anyhow.

I quit paying for that site years ago. MM and JC are the only two worth reading over there. And as for Phillip "Imminent" Marshall, that dude needs to hang it up.
