As was said by some rando on twitter: Hunter will become a Razorback legend with a Coca-Cola contract in 2022.

Why couldn’t they do every other concession and make money off both?

Probably a logistical nightmare I would imagine. But I could be wrong

I bet if Pepsi is offering millions more per year in their deal vs Coca-Cola, the university will probably re-sign with the former...no matter how much the fans hate it.

Coke has all the leverage in these negotiations.

IIRC Coke offered a 1 or 2 year deal last time for not much money and Pepsi the 10-years.

Seems like Muss is a big Pepsi guy. Always drinking it on sideline and postgame.

He does seem like the Eddie Sutton of Pepsi.

Isn't he required to as part of the deal? It would be a bad look chugging Coke when Pepsi has a deal with the university.

No he can just drink water, he doesn't have to drink Pepsi all the time.

He would have to drink the Pepsi brand of water, which is Aquafina isn't it?

Not sure, I think he just likes Pepsi. Never see him with Mtn Dew or Dr Pepper that are just as popular if not more.

Long catches shite on here for Pepsi, but if I’m not mistaken, wasn’t this a University-wide contract and not just an athletic department deal?

That is correct. Long had nothing to do with it.

Yep but doesn't stop the crowd from "Long took muh Coke away from the concession stands at sporting events". I remember calls into the sports talk radio shows blaming Long.

Muss is a big pumper of all Bball and school sponsors. He used to wear a different corporate sponsor t-shirt all the time to media availability when he first got the gig. He seems to like drinking soft drinks during games, which means he has to drink a Pepsi product. He probably just liked Pepsi better than any of their other offerings.

I guarantee you if Coke were the sole drink provider, he'd be drinking The Real Thing during every game.
