New ESPN Article With a Little Bit of New Info

Pete Thamel and Chris Low. There's only a couple paragraphs that provide any new information, which I will quote below:
So in conclusion:
1) Auburn is bringing in the lawyers which means this has moved far beyond a case of Greene or others just asking around for info. They are having lawyers sit in on all witness interviews which means this is a very serious situation (at least from AU's viewpoint).
2) The AD has nothing to do with any of it. It seems like it is being ran by the BoT or some other higher authority. I am not sure why this is. It could be that the AD cannot be trusted to run the investigation (at least the BoT doesn't trust them for whatever reason).
TL;DR - It's a shite show. Alan Greene is AWOL. BoT running show. Lawyers involved. Harsin is almost certainly gone.
quote:
Auburn has also been interviewing current assistant coaches and staffers about Harsin, sources have told ESPN. Some of those interviews took place Sunday and others were expected to spill over into Monday. The coaches and staffers were asked about some alleged issues that have arisen during Harsin's tenure, with the idea of drilling in on what's factual, per sources.
Auburn has used outside legal counsel in at least some of these interviews, which includes an outside firm Auburn has used previously, Lightfoot, Franklin & White, and an attorney there, Henry Gimenez, who specializes in collegiate sports.
The inquiry into Harsin is being run by university administration outside of the school's athletic department, as this is being viewed as an overall institutional decision and not one under the purview of the athletic department.

I 100% believe they use this board as their main source for articles

If Harsin did something that violated his contract and others knew about it, ignored it, aided in his actions then the school could have some legal exposure if a 3rd party decided to sue because of Harsin's actions.

Well ADAG has hitched his wagon to Harsin so it makes sense to keep him out of the loop in this case.
They are building a case against both of them.

Harsin is Thamel's source. Recall when Harsin got hired and no one even knew he was a candidate that Pete Thamel broke the story.

Pete Thamel is usually a hater of all things AU

If that is the case, fire him for cause for this reason, not being an a-hole to work for.

Saying ADAG is AWOL is not accurate. Absent without leave with an intent to desert. It's more of a recuse from the situation, he can't be involved for their decision as it is a completely separate entity

It has got to be one of two things with ADAG. Either he has been told to stand down and stay out of it, or maybe he is not happy with Harsin either and something happened between them and for that reason is letting others look into this as well. You have to wonder if Mason was in his ear or if the exit interview with Mason really made his eyes open wide. You never know.

Is it true there is a SEC coaches meeting in Birmingham at the end of the week?

There is one on Thursday. Means we should know something by tomorrow.
Would be epic if they sent him to the meeting then fired him Friday.

Have it from a reliable source in the athletic department that is a cousin of my old fishing buddy, that this is the plan and the PTB are involved.
