Has it been mentioned that Austin Davis doesn’t have a wife or kids?

Makes this even more strange that he stepped away to be with family…
He supposedly divorced in 2017.

Could be mental health related?

Divorced since 2017 doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a serious gf and even a kid with someone?
But yeah, still strange. The entire thing was extremely strange. It’s very possible Harsin has no fault with that but seems unlikely he couldn’t have vetted the situation better.

Maybe he has elderly parents or other family members that have health problems.

I’m thinking he found some shite out he didn’t like and bounced. Using family as an excuse is like saying I’m sick boss I have diarrhea I can’t come to work. No one will question it.

More likely someone said recruiting visit and what they meant suddenly struck home.
(no sauce's - mere conjecture - no booster input)

I’m sure more will come out in time to offer clarity.
But the likely hood of that is slim to none. He’s a young inexperienced guy bouncing quickly wouldn’t make any sense. If he was old and experienced he would be more likely to spot a sinking ship, that’s of course if there was even a ship sinking.
He was an nfl QB coach so it seems cazy and I don’t know where Harsin even got the idea to interview him, but the guy worked for Pete Carrol and was obviously a good interview so it’s just extremely strange.

A report from the senior bowl was that he was unfit to coach and that he would’ve eventually been forced to resign.
AU86, I’m sharing a report from the Senior Bowl. These are not my personal thoughts. I’ll spoonfeed your smoothed brain as long as you’d like.

From what I have read from people who have been right more than they have been wrong, this was on Davis and something that came to light after he was hired by Auburn. This wasn’t an issue with Davis having a problem with Harsin….these same people are actively critical of Harsin so I don’t think they would tote a false narrative for him behind Davis’s departure.
They won’t say exactly WHAT it was just that Davis has some “problems” and “addiction” he needs to get help with.
They did specify it was not drug related but won’t go any further, I think the mindset is there is no need to drag the man through the mud.
It really does appear that Harsin was blindsided by him….and by all accounts did “vet” Davis with both Carroll and Russell Williams….who may or may not have been aware of some personal issues going on with Davis.

So Davis wasn’t addicted to drugs but was addicted to something else? You really shouldn’t just make shut up

Yes. Spreading rumors about Davis is cool but questioning the direction of the program with harsin is off limits. Harsins frost season was a complete failure. But let’s continue to point fingers everywhere else….we’re about to run out of fingers.

So many rumors. I heard Harsin fired Davis because he wanted to take a few days off after a long recruiting trip.

There are other things to be addicted to -alcohol, gambling, porn, etc.

Nose beers. Apparently showed up not able to interact at the AL/MS All-Star game. I find this story suspect as I've had plenty of nose beers and interactions.
Seriously I think its a substance abuse prob.

But the nfl never had a problem with him?
Posted on 2/5/22 at 4:55 pm to TTsTowel
Sounds truly like personal issues to me. Davis released a public statement saying "Harsin was professional during all of this." If Davis truly was pissed about something Harsin did, I seriously doubt he releases a statement at all.
What those personal issues are I have no idea and won't speculate. He might just have not liked the crootin' grind.

This and this. If he had a problem it certainly would have shown up before. If he could hide it, but suddenly on his first job assignment he cuts loose? All this speculation is just that.
And to say he didnt want to recruit? Thats like interviewing for a check out clerk job and saying I dont want to touch the register, thats nonsense as well.
He isnt at Auburn, let it rest and move on.
