Why are LSU fans so defensive about Brian Kelly and his weird antics?

I was wondering why they are so insecure and worried about what other school and the internet are saying. I understand there is some rationalizing because he is their new coach.
I think the biggest reason they are so worried is due to the fact that they always state that they have had two goofy arse coaches and they finally have a “real” coach. Unfortunately, I think LSU’s culture has made whatever coach comes on campus an absolute cringe lord.
They are trying to rationalize hiring another loser of a coach by his record against mediocre ACC teams and fallen pac-12 teams. Their worst fear is coming true and they are trying to live in delusion. They hired another lane duck coach. Must be tough

Why is it that fans of other schools seen so obsessed with this?
It's not like their god/coach isn't a bit off track. Like maybe Kiffin's juvenile trolling, or Jimbo's continued under achieving, or Nick's laughable foray into politics?

Why do other fan bases care so much about it?
Brian Kelly clearly doesn’t care what anyone thinks and does what he needs.
It might be weird, but it’s not a problem.
Recruits seem to ask and even like when their coach has some fun.

Brian Kelly has more accomplishments then Lane might have for his entire career.
Again, Saban and Miles were considered worse coaches coming into LSU than Kelly. Both under I think 62 percent winning percentage. Kelly is around 70 I believe. Either way LSU finally got a proven coach. He should be able to win a lot of games at LSU.

Because it’s stupid. Everyone claimed he’s not a culture fit he’s a old uptight a-hole then he has fun with the kids and the kids absolutely love it and now it’s a problem

This thread and many others establish it’s people like you who are insecure because for the first time in 20 yrs, LSU didn’t frick up a HC hire.

Meh. We are all guilty of this.
