I've got no problem with Bobo involved in the offense in some capacity, I personally think he is a solid offense coach.

Excellent QB coach love what he can do with QBs I just don’t want him as a OC I’ve heard the Monken rumors die down he staying?

Liked him when he was here before, but I am afraid the game may have passed him by. My guess is he will work with the QBs. Just a guess.

Never out of the woods until about 3-4 weeks after the Super Bowl. That's when you see the NFL coaching carousel crank up. Once that has had plenty of time to die down we can start breathing again. I hope Monken stays. We need to give him a big raise.

It’s such a hard call on Bobo. Want to like him but man he could do some bonehead things at times. As an analyst..sure.

Btw..what ever came of all his health challenges?

I think why not?

It doesn't hurt to have more football brains dedicated to the task at hand. I wouldn't want Bobo to return to calling the plays, but I don't see the harm in getting his perspective regarding the offense from Sundays to Fridays.

he's not coming to be our OC. Whatever capacity he'll be, whether it's working with QBs or simply being one of a plethora of analysts that helps with game film, would be a great role for him.

I also think people very much misremember his tenure here. When he left he was the best OC we've ever had, IMO.

Everyone always freaks out and they place too much value on the 1 plane that crashed, and forget about the thousands of planes that landed perfectly that day.

That is Bobo's UGA career in a nutshell. Dude was a great OC for us and was dropping records left and right, but our collective memory always takes us back to the handful (out of thousands) of plays where the shite really backed out of the tank onto UGA.

i think people primarily want to remember him for 1) the awful 2010 season when he had very little offensive talent to work with, so I mean obviously your offense isn't going to be good, and 2) the "run the damn ball bobo" meme that people just regurgitate blindly bc they saw their aunt share it on facebook and thinks it's hilarious so they think that bobo was actually bad.

You are correct, he was fantastic when we had actual talent to work with. He wasn't some spurrier-level paradigm shifter but I do recall that he started doing some things that UGA offenses hadn't done before. I remember when we started using the pistol circa 2012 and people were pumped. It was simply a different era back then.

God, burn that season from my memories. I'm still not ok from seeing Ryan Mallett lead a game winning drive against us.
