You are without a doubt correct. I liked him his last two years and was a big fan of his. His offense did indeed set records, but for some reason when his name is brought up I have visions of a 150lb running back running a draw play up the middle over and over and over again for no yardage. I have no rational explanation for this.

It's exactly my point 1 above. People remember carlton thomas running a draw and think that's bobo's legacy, for some reason i can't explain. Our starting RBs in ealey/king were decent but nothing to write home about. He was the change of pace scatback and we've run james cook, tyson browning, and host of other similar backs up the middle too. Not sure why that stands out in people's memory so much. And again, once he had legit RB talent to work with the results magically got better.

S/O Fat Cheney for taking those memories and throwing them on the funeral pyre. Now my go to bad play call memory is running Isaiah McKenzie on 4th and short against Vanderbilt with Sony and Chubb on the roster.

Wasn't really Bobo's fault. The defense was as soft as wet toilet tissue. I don't want Bobo running anything at UGA.

Everyone always freaks out and they place too much value on the 1 plane that crashed, and forget about the thousands of planes that landed perfectly that day.

That is Bobo's UGA career in a nutshell. Dude was a great OC for us and was dropping records left and right, but our collective memory always takes us back to the handful (out of thousands) of plays where the shite really backed out of the tank onto UGA.

Don't we already have enough guys telling Kirby to run it up the middle?

[Running Isaiah McKenzie on 4th and short against Vanderbilt with Sony and Chubb on the roster.]

I wanted the whole staff fired after that play. Chubb was actually in during it, but he was supposed to block Vandy’s all SEC LB.

After viewing that play many times, Chubb missed the block and that was the reason the play got stuffed. Had Chubb made the block, it would have went for a TD because Vanderbilt had all 11 within 2 yards of the LOS. Everyone was blocked except that LB who made the tackle.

What’s ironic is, McKenzie carries the ball all the time in the Bill’s offense, but he’s remembered for being stuffed on 4th and 1 against Vandy in 2016.

It makes you wonder if he is being brought in as OC in waiting if Monken leaves. Bobo is a good qb coach and did some good things with our QB's. His confidence has to be shot after some not so successful stints; then not sure if he has any lingering health conditions. I just wonder how much we could progress from where we are offensively with him. Maybe it's what it is and Bobo is just being brought in as an analyst and Kirby told him he he wouldn't promote him to OC. Still Bobo showed he can do well with elite talent so we'll see what happens.

Bobo is confirmed next in line at Alabama as OC if and when Bill Obrien leaves.

Which is crazy because I predicted on here almost a decade ago after a dream i had that Bobo would one day become the headcoach at Alabama when Saban retires. I just wasnt sure how it would happen, but now it comes into focus.
