Yeah yeah it’s affecting my team now so I care funny joke. Jermaine fricking Burton entered the transfer portal. Wtf is this guy thinking? We rotate a lot but not THAT much when everyone is healthy. 1, the dude doesn’t fricking block. When is the last time he was in on a run play as opposed to white lightning putting his guy on skates for bowers in the orange bowl. 2) how many years has he been at UGA now? He’s what he was when he came in a boundary receiver who is excellent at double moves and going deep. We have 6 guys who can do that just as good. I think burton is a fine player and got wayyyy more looks and TDS this year than someone like AD who probably deserved them more as freshmen he’s a more complete player. But man, work on your blocking, build your route tree, he could’ve easily been our best double move and intermediate guy next year and had the year I imagine he thinks will get him to the nfl as if stats do playing opposite bowers and Ad. He is basically declaring yeah I knew UGA expects their WR the be great blockers for high snap counts, and I know I would’ve been a top boundary WR opposite AD. But that’s hard. I can go to the PAC 12 and do the only thing I know how a double move deep go and get 13 TDS next year. I’ll surely be able to make to the NFL as a soft non blocking wr whose developed nit much beyond beating college dbs on double moves.

Button is good. He’s extremely talented. Maybe if you could read that’s why it’s frustrating. He strikes me as someone who thinks he’s good enough and doesn’t need to build out his route tree any longer. Which will get him bounced from the nfl before practice squad starts. He also REFUSES to block. At UGA you’re not gonna get high snaps like that I don’t care if you’re Randy Moss. This is a story of a highly talented player poised to be in a position of leadership and maybe our best outside wr next year leaving because it’s hard work and those reject pac 12 players won’t need as much effort. This is ruining the sport, bring back having to sit a year.

If he goes to say, Alabama, you are going to have a tough time selling laziness and wanting an easy route tree as the reason.

I addressed this above. I am not happy he’s leaving. I’m upset because the portal has enabled great talents to not work hard on their complete game and the bounce for UCLA where they won’t be asked to do shite but go deep and probably get 13 TDS. If burtons doing this to get the nfl he should’ve stated thinking that way as freshman building a route tree with more than 1 and be willing to block.

Then you’ll be disappointed. I like the guy I’ve watched him closely. Saban gonna play a WR that refuses to block? A freshmen AD Michel and a white no name got substantial more time for that reason. Again he is REALLY talented but he is yet to actually become the things that are prerequisite for his proclaimed reason for leaving

We've got a pretty good track record with talented receivers learning how to do all the things they need to do to be successful in college and then become 1st round picks.
No clue if he transfers to Alabama, but if he transfers to Alabama then he's clearly not looking to just be lazy and run 1 route.

How do we reign it in? NCAA legislation (Lawsuits waiting to happen). The ONLY method is to sign 3 year contracts and I do not see that.
We have Free Agency and No Salary Cap. There is more loyalty in the NFL.
Plus it helps my team in Basketball, helped make us a contender.
