Did you seriously just compare those two players to Burton rofl. This is why it’s retarded but I know board rules to call this a melt. Burton was very hyped but the reality is we have better guys. Probably 6-7 consider they block. Jack saint is gonna highlight Burton’s faults next year.

You might want to watch and see the effort made by them while blocking or should I say chicken fighting and holding

You aren’t clearing hearing me. Saying burton doesn’t block isn’t doing it justice. He doesn’t do even what you just described. Now I have him seen block downfield after another player makes a catch. But you might as well have Marty from not another teen movie on scholly if the call is a run.

It’s literally the number 1 reason a white guy named Lad no one wanted came in punched him in face and took his job. Wanna see good wr blocking play? Watch white lightning tape.

You literally asked how many NFL receivers can’t block

Also Jameson was a nobody at OSU. You never know what players are actually capable of.

Because you sound bitter. It’s like telling an ex you don’t care about them while going on a whole rant about them. If Burton isn’t good then there’s no reason why should start this thread. His loss should be as irrelevant as if UGA 2nd string OG transferred. Yet you’ve had multiple big paragraphs of things to say about him.

Not surprised have the people who frequent here missed the point of this thread. I never said burton wasn’t good. In fact he is EXTREMELY good at what he does do. My contention and point of the thread is the unforeseen circumstances of kids like Burton going from near 5 star to largely not playing passed up by guys who can’t just transfer when things get tough. If he knew this wasn’t an option would he the more complete well rounded player today we know he can be. Since no one can read still, and as I’ve said, I’ll always love the guy for what he did for us during the run for a title this year. But losing him isn’t that important. He’s been passed up big time and there are guys feasting to take ever what little he had left if he stayed like Rosemy jack saint. If anything in melting about how the portal is implying a mindset especially to highly recruited players that is extremely detrimental in the long term. Now I know this board has no nuance and will assume I mean that applies to everyone ever that played cfb:

You can't blame him for leaving. Before the SECCG we were averaging 12 completions a game. I knew this was coming. WR want targets, not to block all game. This isn't a triple option offense.

Yeah you’re so not triggered you had to reply to me twice and call me a retard after typing out another long arse melt. Everyone here knows you're bitter about this.

I don’t necessarily like the transfer portal as it is but the guy probably wants to go to a more pass heavy offense. You’re trying to make it much more than it likely is and calling everyone else a retard for not agreeing. Keep on melting.

Let the kid GO! The portal helps those that feel they have made a mistake rectify it. Let him get more playing time at UCF or wherever. Gone forever are the days a kid had to make a choice in high school and stick with that choice for four years. Players are liberated now, and you don’t like it because it isn’t like it was “Back in my days.” And that really is a good thing.

Again my dude I’m not blaming totally for leaving, although UGA not airing it out like mike leach wasn’t unknown or a secret when he committed. I’m commenting on the portal and if we are seeing it’s impact on high star power players coming in who fail to develop the way their school asks because they know whenever they want they can go anywhere. I think It’s a big reason we saw a rise in guys like AD and Lad. They didn’t have anyone lining up for them if they didn’t like how UGA used wr. You don’t have to be a genius to read between the lines here. They worked hard and burton didn’tZ

I’m all for being able to transfers. I’d 100% support bringing back blocking in conference transfers and having to sit s year.

I’m not bitter about Burton leaving if anything I’m bitter that knowing he could go wherever whenever likely made him much worse at his craft. I feel I’m taking crazy pills by these replies I’m not dropping sage unknown knowledge. The really is the kids like Jameson who go in to do what they do are such a minuscule % to the overall amount.

I can understand what you’re saying about the kid not be willing to block but holy shite everything you are saying about a route tree is on your coaches. He only runs one route? Coaching staff. The kid isn’t out there calling his own route over and over.
