Are bama fans really upset they had to play UGA a second time?

Saw a few posts on the Scoreboard during the game and was legitimately curious about that.

No. That's just how the playoffs worked out.

You should definitely take Scoreboard threads seriously

No, hate that we lost though. Losing sucks. Especially the last game. Got to wait half a year to see any more Bama football.

Of course they are. Their lack of self-awareness is kinda funny ngl.

Why would we be? UGA and Bama were the best teams, and that's why the sport is played.

I think there have been 5 Mulligan games in NCAA history. All won by the team that lost the first game.
I fully admit hating to play UGA after beating them (2017), but you play by the rules. Injuries play a big part, but that is also part of the game.

No way. Most knew even after winning the SECCG that Georgia was capable of beating them in another game. If you win a NCG, there is no doubt you "deserve" to be there.

No, the criteria is select the four best teams for the play-off games. Alabama and Georgia both were clearly in that group and demonstrated such. Forget all of this garbage about who deserves it most or who won their conference championship. Those are not the main considerations. Sometimes that might mean playing the same team multiple times during the course of a season. That's how it works and I'm OK with it.

Could be a reason why they get trashed after 24-36 hours.

No. Anyone that is is just trying to cope. Both teams earned the right to play in that game

I've not seen any of them say that....but I wasn't in the thread.
I guess those threads are interesting, but I like to concentrate on the game. I'm old and would have a hard time typing and watching a game at the same time. I have to look at my fingers when I type.

So funny how certain fanbases are 'melting' over Bama's
unmelt.

No, I believe they were more upset at the Alabama squad being at less than 100% because of injuries. But, I also know you play with the cards given to you

Nope. Championship game was clearly the two best teams and the best team won. Seems like a reasonable expectation.

No. They were clearly one of the top 2 teams- I would've had no problem with it even if there wasn't a playoff

I don't know that they were mad, but hard to blame them for the frustration.
Being asked to accomplish something you just did in resounding fashion a couple of weeks ago is annoying. It's a complete do-over for the other side, who in many ways is no worse for their prior failings. UGA got a worse draw in the playoffs, but otherwise they get to play with house money and take another shot.
Now, it's just how it works and we all accept it, but I can't blame Bama fans for being annoyed by how it sets up.
