So he picked going to Oregon so people would know him as a Nike guy?
"Alabama is stupid, it isn't the West Coast and it isn't Harvard"
LOL you went to one of the West Coast dumb schools Lil K, not Cal/UCLA/USC/Washington/Stanford.
"I'd probably still be there and we wouldn't be sitting here today"
I mean yea no shite, you'd literally be playing in the national championship game at that moment. What the hell is he talking about
? Does he think we don't allow players to leave school early?
"I wouldn't have graduated"
LOL, well that'd be your fault because about half the guys in your recruiting cycle already have
What a fvckin loud mouth blowhard that kid is
Klatt's noises and eyes once he realized the shite that the kid was saying are hysterical

He’s no Will Anderson

Wouldn't have graduated yet. What? Saban actually puts a 3 year plan to graduate out there. Ask Jalen Hurts and countless others. Plus how many of our players have gotten Masters Degrees in 5 years?
Whatever.
Whatever.

If those terrible nfl teams need a de, better to draft the guy from Purdue. Kayvon is boom bust.

Who knew? There’s an astigmatism associated with southern education…

Good lord at that garbage.

This is the result of shitty parenting + buying all the negative recruiting Mario was selling. If this were my son I'd feel like a complete failure. What a stupid, disrespectful little manchild.

And even more embarrassing was how confident he seemed to be in his incoherent ramblings. Somebody has convinced him he's truly figured it all out.

You don’t understand. 90% of Oregon athletes get a job from Nike.

"Football is an American sport but Nike is a global brand"
What high minded pontification! KT, go ahead and video your conversations in Europe and Asia when you tell people you are a "Nike brand personality" and then let me know how the follow up "Oh very nice, so what sport do you play?" conversation goes.

That's super cringe. Someone in his camp should've prepped him better on how to address these types of questions

He went to Oregon; so he could get a job at Nike?
Was he looking to play football or looking to find a soft spot for retirement after football?
As far as I know, We prep our players on how to deal with life after football; and for those going on to the Pro's we provide guidance on how to deal with agents and handle finances. The guy is dissing without even knowing. Seems resentful. Maybe we pissed him off during his recruitment.

This just sounds like a guy who knows he fricked up and bought a bunch of bullshite from Mario….and is now trying to justify it to himself
Posted on 1/13/22 at 10:26 am to mistaken4193

I thought Joel Klatt was gonna soil himself! He was totally caught off guard, and embarrassed.

The Kyrie Irving School of Jackassery. Believes himself to be one of the smartest people in the room but looks dumber every time he breaks out the intellectual persona.
There is no doubt in my mind that Bama accepts and passes undeserving people because they are an athlete. But I also believe pretty much every strong football school not named Stanford and Notre Dame does this. I have never once in my life watched an Oregon football game and thought, "wow those guys are super athletic AND fiercely intelligent."

Oregon isn't exactly Stanford North.
Of course, we have the astigmatism thing here. LOL
What a tard.

Literally meet folks often who come to T-Town for the atmosphere and the Sports life.
My brother sat next to a father, daughter on a plane 10 years ago. There were from NJ IIRC. Father stated Bama was the only place his little girl wanted to go... Because of football.
(during non-Covid years) the ratio of out-of-state students to in-state is 2 to 1.
Saban is worth 10 times his salary and Thibadeaux didn't impress me.
