I disagree. There are tons when players simply need to leave the program. No need to make them wait it out. The players who don't earn a starting spot and want to run somewhere else instead of putting in the effort aren't the players you want in your locker room.

I respectfully disagree. We’ve had many studs say they wanted to transfer after their freshmen years but stayed because they didn’t want to sit out. Henry being one of them. I love the portal but it needs to be regulated not the wild Wild West. Keeping 1st year players from transferring would help a lot. Limiting the timing guys can enter the portal to one time during the year is a must.

According to the Georgia boards, he has been back and forth on whether to enter the portal vs sticking it out through at least the spring. Based off of looks, he didn’t show a lot of agility but he is so dang big it could be deceiving. More in line tight end than flex. Actually, I would think he would be a great fit here because he could help shore up an oline that was a little leaky by being an extra blocker when needed.

So has Harris officially declared? All I’m seeing thus far is predictions that he will

No, some reports out there that he signed with an agent a few days ago but nothing official.

Also nothing on LaBryan Ray, though not sure if we'd hear anything or not.

Some Georgia boards speculation that Washington is likely gone, and will likely give Bama a look. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

Absolutely - he's a very good run blocking tight end who has unique abilities as a pass catcher, even if he ends up more of a tease than a genuine consistent threat, there.

Just his ability to run block and have to be recognized as a pass catcher by the defense would be a massive addition to our offense.

Obviously take it was a grain of salt, but he basically graded out per PFF as the exact same run blocking wise as Kendall Randolph. So you replace Kendall Randolph with an actual pass catching option.

He's basically an upgraded Michael Williams. Huge, elite blocking TE, good hands, no speed or quick twitch anything. Elite redzone and 3rd down target as a receiver who is essentially a 3rd OT for run plays though. I have a feeling he's going to be looking for guarantees in terms of targets though, and Saban won't give that to him.

Yea, I wonder how much of this is legitimate from his camp and how much of it is just matching things up.

(a) Washington is probably going to leave
(b) Alabama was a very close #2 to him in recruiting
(c) Washington to Alabama

Yeah, I'm kind of failing to see how he'd be used differently here than he would at UGA.

Make sure when he arrives, he doesn't get the number 0.

I'd file it under people just reading the tea leaves. That being said, Bryce has absolutely shown a willingness to throw the ball to anyone who is open even if they're a fricking gutless loser who repeatedly burns him with drops and piss poor effort in general. So getting to play with him for a year has to look appealing to anyone who plays WR or TE.

Agree - Bryce is a helluva selling point.

Not surprised at all. He had a strong finish to the season and should make a good pro player. Excited to see Deontae Lawson. Very talented player.

What happened to Demouy Kennedy? Wasn't he a beast coming out of high school?

Well they moved him to RB for half the season when we had our health issues so I'm guessing that didn't help his development. And I'm not sure anything is wrong with him, exactly, just that folks are really, really excited about Lawson.
