I've never been more cofident in saying this, but Bama EASILY wins the title next year. Very fricking easily.

Yeah... I don't get the whole Saban is done thing. Bama was pretty young this year, and now they're returning everybody

He hasnt coached that well this year from the very little I have watched.

It helps when you out talent every team by far minus 1-2 teams a year. The guy can go and just line up man to man and win 10 games a year without superior strategy

I think he knows boosters are about to have alot more power with how NIL is going and he knows free Dodge Chargers and $200K under the table isn't going to land top players anymore, and Alabama as donor base can't keep up with the big money schools like Texas and A&M and others going forward.

If Saban can't have the best roster in the nation, he doenst win and he knows that. It's why he hated the NFL so much. When he doesn't have a massive talent advantage, he can't leverage his situation and he's probably out.

I figure espn will come calling soon with $10 mil+/yr broadcasting deal and make him into the next Gruden for their network. I bet he wont ever truly retire with the way his wife likes to spend money and how lost he is without football.

He's been pretty outspoken on putting the breaks on a lot if the transfer and NIL stuff is going. He's actually been an advocate for the sport.

That’s just because he no longer gets that advantage.

He'll coach until he dies. He did seem way more mellow this year though. After the Iron Bowl he was downright giddy. It was almost unnerving.

Him or Skip Golding would be good hires for Bama. Golding is a genius in the making. BOB would do great there and keep Bama near the top.

I think he believes this was his weakest team in a long time and fully expected 2 to 3 losses. However they grew a bit and got some luck so they ended up with a shot at the title. Why wouldn’t he be giddy?

I think next year they are heavy favorites and then if they win it all he retires and goes to the booth.

Nothing short of a doomsday scandal is going to make him retire. He's going to die in that coach's office.

He wouldn't have done that fake routine about his poor whittle players last night if not for future recruiting.

He literally steps over people having seizures when cameras aren't rolling.

Absolutely zero chance Saban goes out after losing a national championship.

Saban retires over 2 scenarios.
A. After winning a national championship
B. He's 85+ years old and the entire Bama administration and alumni is literally begging him to give it up.

I could see it after next year IF Bama is able to win the NC with what should be a more experienced team next year. I could see him getting #8 and going out on top. Especially if it's another undefeated season.

After reading Monte Burke’s biography of the guy … which people should do even if they despise him and Bama just to see what makes him tick … I am convinced that he’ll be coaching defensive backs for free for some Division III program when he’s 90 because coaching football is what he does. Period.
