Athens, AL (20 miles West of Huntsville and about 12-15 miles South of the TN state line). Lots of ice on the roads already.

Be careful in the morning if you're in the areas getting the Winter storm. There will be black ice galore.

Snowing as far south as Prattville, according to radar. Roads will be bad for sure.

Yup and my dogs love it. Neither one of them have seen snow. I moved to Madison from BR last summer.

Saturday night we got some sleet and snow in northwest Louisiana. Yesterday I had to get gas and it was unreal cold in the middle of the day.
The way the pumps are set up that wind kinda funnels through there and the winds speed seems to increase. So it was already 28 degrees with 30mph wind, add in the funnel effect and the wind chill had to be in the single digits.

Does anyone know how to calculate wind chill?

12 degrees was the wind chill

It snowed in the southern suburbs of Birmingham but the ground never really got cold enough for it to accumulate or freeze on the roads as far as I've seen.

I can only imagine the mental gymnastics needed to make the weather into a rivalry thing.

That said, if I'm gonna make any claims, it'll be at least 12 or 13.

Yeah, that 75-80 degree high over the past couple of days really blew any shot at travel issues.

Most of it has already melted before sunrise.

If that's 1 inch, then I'm Mandingo.

I looked outside my window and saw 3" of snow on the ground. I told my wife it was 6.
