He assumed they'd jump slants and quick short stuff and tried to sneak a bomb over their heads that he thought they might not expect. Problem is, they expected it twice, and he called it twice, and it was incomplete twice. He gets 10 yards at the end of regulation, they probably don't even go to OT. I think he called a pretty good game, but that was dumb as hell.

They were both open too, ball just was 5-10 yards too far

He also didn’t call a timeout after they gained 9 yards on the first play of the drive and ended up costing himself about 10 seconds for no reason. Really limited his options on that 4th down play.
Pretty sure he finished regulation with a timeout in his pocket.

He outsmarted himself just before halftime, too. Gave up 10 points way too easy.
