Texas high school football talent is MASSIVELY overrated every year, and that's where the vast majority of their rosters come from.

For real.
There will always be great players form Texas, but they don’t hav anywhere near the numbers they and recruiting devices credit them for.

It’s why the big12 sucks so bad on defense

Only because of population.

Per capita, there are quite a few states ahead of Texas.

I think the entire point just went far above your head.

There aren't nearly as many elite athletes in Texas HS football every year as the recruiting services try and get you to believe...This may come off as offensive, but it's true, I have never seen so many "4 star" white wide receivers come from anywhere else but Texas.

No, he said it was overrated. You added some random bs that wasn’t to his point.

Texas produces lots of good skill players, but not so many elite linemen.

There was a list just posted here days ago that showed how many players in the NFL came from the state of Texas. It contradicts what you're saying

It might be more of a city thing than a state thing.
How would you rank the cities?

Houston
Atlanta
Miami
New Orleans
Tampa/Orlando
Dallas
Memphis
Nashville
Birmingham
Jacksonville

actually the strength of Texas football is not that its top teams are so great, it’s that it has SO MANY good teams.

You coukd take the 100th best team in Texas and it would clean the clocks of a majority of the schools across the country.

Second point, the Texas talent gets spread all acriss the country, and we dont just have one or two decent D1 schools like LSU.

If the state of Texas was like LSU and 90% of its top 30 talent went to one school…. well, you wouldnt want to see it.

It is though...And I'm telling you this as a friend, y'all are gonna have to change your recruiting strategy before you get here...Start getting REAL comfortable in Mississippi and Louisiana.

You’re right but it’s because the coaching in TX high school football is so good. A senior in Texas HS football is a lot closer to his full potential than a senior in Louisiana because he’s been coached up so he looks better on tape. In reality the Louisiana player has a higher ceiling with college coaching.

This especially applies to defense. I would rather have a 3* Louisiana linebacker than a 4 star Texas one.
