Dametrious Crownover, per the video, is now #78 and is the 2nd team left tackle.

Based on the roster, Derick Hunter, Dallas Walker and Jordan Jefferson are no longer on the team and Brian Williams is medically retired.

However, Brian George, Myles Jones and Hezekiah Jones are listed on the roster.

That puts us at 89 scholarship players, still needing to drop 4 to reach 85.

Baylor Cupp has entered the transfer portal.

I'm not clever enough to tie in his injury history into a joke about this.

Probably not a good look when the injury tent manufacture wants you for a NIL deal

Aside from the 2020 Florida game, Chapman has done very little since arriving on campus.

He's one of the few legitimate deep threats on the team. Even if he doesn't get the ball he creates space for other WRs. He's not some non factor who won't be missed.

Except he's BEEN a non-factor aside from 1-2 games.

I'm going to be a massive dick here. I think Hezekiah Jones and Chase Lane need to find other destinations as well. Every snap they're on the field is a snap taken away from Moose Muhammad, Chris Marshall, Evan Stewart, Yulkeith Brown and Noah Thomas.

I think Brian George needs to find another destination. Every snap he takes is a snap taken away from Denver Harris, Josh Moten and Bryce Anderson.

I think if he doesn't crack the rotation soon that Braeden Mowry needs to go. I don't know if Adarious Jones is injury prone.

A&M is currently at 89 scholarship players. That number needs to be 85 or less by fall camp.

It's not his fault he played w/QB's who stink at the deep ball.

Also, again, even if he wasn't getting the rock he was still opening up space by being a deep threat. Just b/c a guy doesn't have stats doesn't mean he isn't contributing. How do you think our TEs are always able to get open over the middle? It's from our deep threats like him stretching the D down the field.

He was out the entire 2018 season with an injury.

He was out the entire 2019 season with an injury.

He was out 8 of the 10 games in 2020 with an injury.

He was out 9 of the 12 games in 2021 with an injury.

I wouldn’t call him a non factor. But if you and I think he’s pretty good and when he’s been healthy he sees the field so Jimbo must think he’s pretty good too. Then he must be pretty good. So why would he transfer? I think the most obvious reason is he’s an upperclassman worried about playing time. In a vacuum it’s not ideal to lose good players but this may be less important because of the underclassmen’s performance.

Makes sense for him to transfer. Maybe he can be healthy if not playing in such a physical league as the SEC
