I’m fine with playing young guys. They seem to be the ones who actually care, and are trying to prove themselves.

Davis has to be happy the new coach worked with Russell Wilson, he wont be discounted for his size, and probably put in some great plays for him next season.

Reports are Davis has looked good since actually getting snaps with the ones in practice, instead of the scout team.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the man next year. He is an alpha type

If you get to your third string qb, you’re probably already screwed anyway

If The coaches had gotten DD ready once Bo got hurt he could have taken over for Findley in the iron bowl once he got hurt and won that game. That was on the coaches.

Why do people make speculations about someone being an alpha and has never even heard the dude on an interview. We seen him play a couple series in the spring game and he floated a nice ball down the sideline to Canion against walkons and then almost threw a pick 6 if the linebacker doesn’t just drop the thing.

I think Davis could be a good QB. But there has been a reason the coaches haven’t even considered him in games.

And how would Hope know that Harsin is planning to play Davis. Hoke has missed on most his predictions lately.

I feel like this is overblown. There have been more than a couple instances of good QBs sitting on the bench.

I'm also going to trust a HC who has played the position, and coached the QB as a OC for years, and then as a HC.

He know all the parts of what a QB must do, and in his own words "CONSISTENTLY" in practice.

And I agree, how anyone knows he is an alpha without being in the huddle in real games.

I do want him to play, as I have resigned my self that winning the bowl game doesn't really mean anything.
But I want to see him execute against real competition.

I can see Hoke getting this inside talk about DD having a 'chance' to play.
OFC, we don't know what the criteria for a chance to play is.

For Auburn? I dont remember any. Seem like the coaches have made the right calls for years on our quarterbacks. And running backs even though our fanbase always wants the back ups playing. Even though they are not as good
