With a 2-8 record in last ten vs LSU?

Goes without saying. BAMA rivalry was based on getting out of the west but that hasn't happened much since Les Miles was grazing the sidelines. TAMU will always be based on geography and actually history between fan bases. Expect a heavy dose of future LSU and shorthorn heavy petting in the corner.

I’d rather have a rivalry with Texas that gets more tv exposure.
Plus, LSU didn’t flee Texas. LSU sacked up and played them in our best season of all time. Arky reached out and played them too.
It’s about exposure. Aggy wishes LSU was its rival because they can’t stand to lose an 80th (e i g h t i e t h) game to Texas.
That’s why they flailed all over the place when OU and Tex were added.
I don’t see any problem with playing ou, Tex and Texas am. Nothing to run from for LSU.

For now they are about as close you could get. I suspect, however, that will change dramatically in a few years.
The SEC is going to have Texas vs A&M on rivalry weekend. The money is just too good to pass up. Remove that end of the season game and I suspect the A&M rivalry is going to cool for LSU. The big question is who gets put on the Bayou Bengals dance card in replacement?
If Oklahoma vs Oklie Lite remains the Sooners end of the season game then who gets moved where and when as far as rivalry weekend? Put Arkansas back in with LSU and Missouri has no one to dance with. Tulane vs LSU as an end of the year rivalry game would be a wet fart. It is going to be interesting to see how the SEC handles a revamped rivalry weekend.

It would be odd to see LSU and bama taking their bye weeks against other teams, but other rivalries may move in. I still think Arky and Ole Miss are bigger rivalries than A&M, as they go back much further.

I guess it’s a rivalry. Just not the rivalry that Aggie DESPERATELY wants.
When ou/Tex enter the conference, you’ll have to add about 100 losses to aggy’s History in-conference.
It’s a non-factor program with a horrible history.
If you turned the 150 losses to
LSU, Tex, ou, Arky to wins, you’d still only be around 8th in wins nationally.
That’s pathetic.
Aggie just abklebites LSU as a hey look over there so no one laughs at them for bolting a horrible conference just so they could lose to Alabama and LSU instead of Texas.
Now they can’t. It’s a horrible situation for aggy.

It appears so. LSU has never competed consistently with Alabama. They are 2&2 vs A&M since Fisher arrived there. They seem to not like each other.

Bama/auburn/Florida in any order but clearly top 3.

As soon as Texas gets here aggy will run back to them like the beaten lover that they are.
LSU is just the eye candy they use to try to make their ex jealous. LSU uses A&M as a slam piece.
It’s unfortunate for aggy, but they refuse to leave abusive relationships. LSU will continue to just dislike everyone.
