how much more difficult is it to type national title rather than natty?

the area for the name of the title only allows so many characters to be typed
wise posters abbreviate when possible

So, my 2nd alma mater (West Florida) was defending DII NC from 2019, and the school my dad worked for when I was a kid (Valdosta St) won the title in 2018 is playing for it again this year.
Kinda cool. Go Blazers!

This is a rematch of the 2018 championship game the Blazers won a nailbiter.
Most of that VSU team was sophomores, redshirt freshmen, and true freshmen; so, they are still in the program.
VSU has two 1000-yard receivers, two 1000-yard rushers with another at 979 yards, and a 3000-yard passer (who is also one of the 1000-yard rushers).
The OL has only given up two sacks all year, but some of that has to do with the QB being a tremendous running that can exploit any lane the DL leaves open.
VSU's defense was one of the tops in the country all year until getting absolutely torched in a game.
Ferris, from what I have seen, is very much a run-oriented team with the QB being the primary runner.
Go Blazers!!

If history is any indication, Valdosta will win, but Ferris has been able to bully teams in a way I have never seen from them before

My dad worked in the business office from 1969-1975. Used to swim at the VSC pool every summer back in the day.
By weird coincidence, my wife found a 1968 Pine Cone (VSC yearbook) in a box of my dad's stuff just yesterday.

I've got deep ties to VSU
Cousin was a Botany professor back in the day. Aunt was a secretary in the Biology Dept during that time. Used to go down to Echols County and visit them when I was a kid. During that time they had no football program and the teams were known as the Rebels.
I ended up matriculating there in the late 70's after a failed attempt at higher education at Georgia Southern.
Hung around afterward, got married, and ended up working there a couple of years. Figured I needed to do something with my life and decided to try the Marine Corps.
That decision probably saved my life.

One of my best friends from grade school played basketball at Ferris. And his older brother played TE converted to RT at Ferris. Go Bulldogs

Both were the first in their families to go to college. My dad thought VSU would never get back to any type of football prominence after Hal Mumme left to go to UK.

Ferris has been winning with ease during the playoff but their conference, Great Lake, is weak compared to Gulf South. It should be a good game.

While that’s true, Ferris has proven in the past that they can torch teams from good conferences in the playoffs. I am a Ouachita fan, the GAC is considered to be a good conference these days, but that game we had against them was embarrassing. They smacked us around like we didn’t belong, even though we bear some good teams in the earlier rounds.
I wish more people followed D2 football, there are actually some really good players in that league who get written off as “glorified high school football” players. You will see some NFL talent in the championship game

I played D2 a few decades back. We had 5 from that team to make NFL. which was more than bama, Auburn, or LSU that year.
