With Tank staying and a potential strong finish in recruiting coming Wednesday, things are looking up. We’ve got to give Harsin some time to resurrect the mess that Malzahn left this program in. It doesn’t appear it’s going to be a quick fix but it’s very encouraging seeing how we’ve turned on the jets going after big names these past few weeks.

As for Bo, I wish he would’ve stayed but I still wouldn’t have been very excited for a senior year run had he returned. Our ceiling with him was 9-3 and without him is probably 7-5/8-4. It’ll pay off in the long run to have the future QB of the program get that year of experience.

Our biggest need is transfer offensive lineman. If we can get a few of those and a decent transfer QB we will continue an upward trajectory.

Unless he gets a transfer QB, he’s got a rough road ahead of him. We don’t like giving anybody time as evident by our message boards after one year.

Another 6-6 season and the pressure is on.

I’m agree. We will need someone to step in.

Would rather have Harsin all day long than what we had. He is making moves to hopefully fix the problems and I think he is going to be a better recruiter than what was originally thought. Auburn should give him some time to build his team. He has got to fix the offensive line situation that he inherited. He needs to bring in a good transfer quarterback and he needs a couple of playmakers at WR.

Agreed...Harsin needs time but like it or not this recruiting cycle is key.

Truth is, the reason we ended up with Harsin was because we wanted to 'change the culture'. I thought it was going much better than I imagined around week 8 or so, but then the wheels came completely off and, coupled with the gleeful prognosis of doom from the usual suspects here and on tRant, I was becoming discouraged.

Then I remembered that I figured we were in for a couple of rough seasons at the beginning, and that the worst thing that could happen would be to panic. Looking at the ridiculous arms race going on at other schools (Napier, $52 million for 7 years, 85% guaranteed; Kelly, $95 million for 10 years, 90% guaranteed; Jimbo, $91 million for 10 years, 100% guranteed; Kiffin extended 4 years for $30 million; Pittman looking for a 7-year, $50 million deal from Arky), we got away with firing Gustav a lot more cheaply than we realized.

I still like Harsin, and I still believe he will do well if we give him the opportunity to build the program how he wants it built. If he fails, well, at least it won't cost us as much to replace him as it will any of those other schools...

We are usually on the big up and down coaster like the Scream Machine. This week it’s like we are on the Mindbender or Ninja coaster.

I'm all on board with Harsin. My faith hasn't wavered a bit through the rough 2nd half of the season. When you think about it, our loses each came down to a few plays. Iron bowl was literally one penalty call away from a win. AU didn't get run off the field in any game except UGA.

I like his plan and where he wants to go. I think he's serious and a highly competent individual. But the SEC West is a pool of sharks. It's rough sailing and we're prolly gonna have to give him a couple more years to get things rolling.

This! He needs to recruit a solid transfer QB and some more offensive weapons (WR). Upgrade OL unit. Otherwise, he has no future here…
