You’re not going to generate any debate with how bad MU hoops are. EVERYONE knows it. Mizzou fans are just biding our time until the coach is fired. Nothing to do or discuss until then.

The program was in the toilet and we were grasping at straws. Everyone was too starry eyed over MPJ coming to listen (me included). Not saying it was a complete package deal but it all seemed to fall into place a little too smoothly. MPJ doesn’t play and we’re stuck with a shite coach. Granted we’d be in a similar position now anyway.
There is ZERO chance this program progresses under Martin. Someone needs to write a check so we can move on.

The worst thing that can happen to sport's programs is to get head coaches who do just enough to provide hope. They recruit well enough, and they win just enough games to lengthen the rope.
Anthony Grant was such a guy for us and we hung on way too long. At least 2 years too long. The thing was with Grant everyone knew he could coach but he would not install an offense that made any sense. To this day I still don't understand what that guy was trying to do. I bet he doesn't either.

He can't be fired because of clauses in his contract. He went to the NCAAT and can't be fired before May 1st 2022

I'm just shocked a proud basketball program can't even draw fans anymore. We need you to step up, the visual is embarrassing. Even Vandy always had fans in the house.

Its a problem with many fan bases that get caught up with recruiting more than results.
Everyone is going to find reasons to justify their hire as well, in general people want to be hopeful.

We hate martin, but hes no kim Anderson. Martin made the tourney 50% of his reasons here. Kim never had more than 10 wins in a single season.

The contract was set up to extend a year based on NCAAT appearances. Since we made it last year, it extended. The language states that he couldn't be fired until May of the following season, so that pushed it out. Technically there really isn't anything stopping us from doing it prior, but there will be a mutual parting once the season over that works for both parties.
The old AD is gone. The hire brought us back to relevance after the KA debacle. But, there were signs 2 years ago that this wasn't going to work though (recruiting, transfers, style of play). The team last year was ok, and hurt that there weren't any fans. We lost essentially the entire team and the rebuild was expected, but CM did the absolute bare minimum in trying to put together a competitive roster. Mizzou fans rightfully shouldn't spend much more effort with him. Sucks for the players, but its just the truth that CM failed.
