Dude gets grief from fans for not being a home-run threat, but the guy is a dang good possession receiver... he's made several clutch third down receptions this year... including today.

Never understood the hate #18 gets on this board. Saban has a proven record of putting on the field whichever players give the team the best chance to win. Brad Smelley was a similar player and garnered respect on this forum but no such luck for Slade.

I admit I’m critical of him. But he’s been clutch as of late.
Still not a huge fan on some of his decisions to not field punts, though.

I'm more of a fan of him at WR than punt returner, but he's been sure handed fielding them...Saban obviously puts a premium on that.

Norwood was huge in some games. Slade has never made that big of an impact
