I'm gonna list my grades for the different increases for each positional rooms. This is pure speculation but for reference I'm gonna use a grade in the A's is top 1-4 rooms in the SEC, B is 5-7, C is 8-10, D is 11-12, F is 13-14.

QB I think we moved from D- to C
RB I think we moved from B to B+
OL I think we moved from D to B+
WR I think we moved from D to C-

DL I think we moved from C- to C+
LB I think we moved from C to B-
Edge I think we moved from D- to C
DB I think we moved from B to B+

I ain’t got a damn clue who we got. I’m just gonna wing it when I start the fall camp thread later on. We got my man Camden Brown and that’s about all I know.

Early September when new players introduce themselves to my shite list I’m going to be saying “who is this a-hole” a lot. Hopefully we just as many pleasant surprises.

The nice thing about the portal, you have a much much higher hit rate on expectations than incoming HS or JC. Heck it seems like more often than not they exceed what was expected, which in our case would be most of the team

Sleeved up Sean White messaged me the other day btw. He might’ve blocked me as well.

He was brought up in a Twitter Poll as the most underrated Auburn Tiger. And to that suggestion I said he was good for two passing touchdowns per season.

In comes Sleeved Up Sean White:

He says his passing TD numbers was just a narrative. He only got maybe 18-20 throws a game, yada yada.

And to that, I told him: look I thought you were fine but the offense sucked.

What's wrong with that? you made no comment on what is funny that you agree/disagree or what

So I’ve taken your letter grading and converted it to numbers because you can more easily deduce an opinion that way.

Where as A+ = 1, A = 2, A- = 3, etc.

Pos. | before | after

QB | 12th | 8th
RB | 5th | 4th
OL | 11th | 4th
WR | 11th | 9th
TE | 7th | 5th
DL | 9th | 7th
LB | 8th | 6th
Edge | 12th | 8th
DB | 5th | 4th

OFF | 9th | 6th
DEF | 8th | 6th
Total | 9th | 6th

So basically you believe we’ve gone from the 9th most talented team to the 6th.

That’s a bold faced lie. Those numbers are giving me a gigantic headache instead of Corches’ B- giving me boners.

Yes that sounds about correct. Somewhere around 9th to 6th. Now talent doesn’t always mean everything when multiple teams will be in the 4-9 range closely ranked. Team chemistry, home/away, execution, and getting the right breaks determines a lot between those teams.

I may should have used the number system it probably is much easier

I have to see on field results before I get into recruiting and new guys again. I don't care what their ranking is. They are scrubs until I see coaching amd results.

Can’t remember a year when I have had less of a feel for an Auburn team. Gonna be kind of fun just seeing what Freeze trots out onto the field.

My opinion of our team

Before portal

After portal

Eta: this was scientifically and mathematically done to come to my opinion.

It looks like we got multiple starters and maybe some a SEC guys in the portal IF they produce.

The center is really good.
And all of the linemen are coming in to prove something against the best level of competition.

Well for starters, when you are last in the SEC in Qb rating and have a sub 50% completion rate, youre an F. D- is handing the kid a trophy for the worst Qb play since Jeremy Johnson or JF3. Robby earned an F

And Payton mf Thorne aint no C. You better put some respect on that man's name. I'll give him a solid B with an A ceiling. Dude is going to get drafted. Trotter was a C. My man Sean mf White was a C (Heart of an A+) and Thorne is better than both of them

I think we surprise people this year. The schedule sets up perfectly for us. Easy win out of the gate, a coaching tester on the road at Cal, powder puff then the worst team in the West atm....were looking at 4-0 start with UGA coming to town @ Auburn. Game Day baby! Hugh Freeze lives for games like that. You never fkn know. New Qb, new players on defense...riding a 4 game win streak...Boom! Shock the fkn world. Beat the number 1 team, then have an off week to prepare to win back to back in Red Stick.

Come boys we can do this shite!!!

Pure context here:
-Hugh isn’t calling plays
-Brand spanking new roster
-Weak player leadership
-Chemistry is loose, scattered.
-Roberts- schemer that may need time before defensive acumen from its leaders.
-We still don’t have a proven QB
-Best player is currently suspended indefinitely.
- Baseball school

So while optimism in our future is deserved it’s still unclear what exactly we will have near term.
