2025 NFL Mock Draft: Luther Burden Joins Bryce Young in Carolina

© Provided by Pro Football Network

With the 2023 college football regular season coming to a close, let’s take a way-too-early look at how the 2025 NFL Draft might shake out with this mock draft scenario.

Will Shedeur Sanders be the first QB off the board? And will the WR and OT classes match the talent of the 2024 NFL Draft class? We won’t have answers for a long time. But those questions, and more, are at least addressed herein.

2025 NFL Mock Draft | Round 1

1) Carolina Panthers: Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
2) New York Giants: Walter Nolen, DT, Texas A&M
3) New England Patriots: Deone Walker, DT, Kentucky
4) Tennessee Titans: Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
5) Atlanta Falcons: Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
7) Las Vegas Raiders: Conner Weigman, QB, Texas A&M
8) Washington Commanders: James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
9) Los Angeles Chargers: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona
10) Denver Broncos: Harold Perkins, OLB, LSU

He is very good though.

ETA: The chances of him going 1st overall are basically zero though.

He's obviously awesome but there's about a 0.1% a WR goes 1:1 in the draft

Can't believe there are Bears fans on Reddit talking about sticking with Fields with how bad the quarterback class will be in 2025. If they pass on another quarterback and Fields doesn't make a massive leap in performance, they would be screwed beyond belief.

Expecting quite a jump there.

You mean Bryce Young might actually have someone to throw to?

Holy shite.

So you're saying the QB throwing to each of them was basically equal?

Huh. Interesting take from an LSU fan.

Panthers are a pretty inept franchise though so it's not impossible. But correct that they would likely trade back a few spots if they really wanted a WR. Top 5 is possible if he has another good season and doesn't suffer any serious injuries

I listed the stats and that's what you took from it? Burden is terrific, Nabers was better.

Is Burden splitting catches with another 1000 yard receiver?
