How worried should we be about Bama/UK?

Dunno how much stock you put in Bill Connelly but he seems to think it will be close:

Bama has already played one trap game this year against Arky, which nearly ended in disaster. I've paid next to no attention to UK this year but an early kickoff on the road and Bama coming off an emotional win seems to be a recipe for craziness.

The West is on the line, Bama will be up for it.

Gone are the days when we ran thru teams like this 52-6... This could be a close game and a tough game I still think Bama pulls it out in the second half.

I think it will be close. 6-9 point game. The hangover will still be lingering.

Love Connelly, but I'm having a hard time seeing UK keep this one close. I was surprised the line was only -10 for Bama. I am clearly missing something.

But the other hand is Saban reminding his players that a win clinches a trip to Atlanta. I'll lay the points and take Alabama on the road and I don't like picking against home dogs.

Alabama is not good enough on offense to not take anyone seriously.

We ready to have that convo about Saban yet or are your heads still buried in the sand?

Embarrassed by a mediocre Texas team at home, but don't worry, a has been DC and a never was OC with a QB that shits his pants if he faces anything above a CUSA defense are surely the answer!

Guy who ran a mediocre offense at ND and seriously wanted to hire Todd Grantham. It's over. It can't get anymore over than this.

At least one of the two coordinators is staying.

They shouldn't, but they will. Caddy will be named head coach full time. Saban will retain Golding and O'Brien because of course he will. 3down10, go ahead and add this to your screenshot collection in case I'm wrong (which I'm not)

We will be by the end of the season. Lane is going to show no mercy and I wouldn't be shocked if Auburn wins the IB as I suspect the team has quit after last night. The bowl game? Christ.

BOB and Golding will be back next year. Just prepare yourself now. Saban only wants yes men for the rest of his career and no one else wants Bill or Pete.
You kind of don't know shite

Both will be overrated all year and then bow out in the Sweet 16

Two really emotional wins, now on the road at 11 AM, yeah it could be an issue.

UK will offer little to no resistance to the rolling tide.

OP is stategically posting slightly non-negative posts about Bama to setup his later Saban attacks. This alter has been running the same schtick for years and is trying to obfuscate his barner BS now that everyone has caught on.

This is a good one from last year

We saw last night that this could very well be a 6-6 team without Bryce, and I still think it's a 2-3 loss team even with Bryce (UT and one or both of the MS schools, maybe LSU), mostly due to poor coaching and development. But what happens when Bryce, Gibbs, Will Anderson and a lot of others head to the NFL next year? Unless they find another Bryce and Anderson in the portal, they're fricked, and even if they do Saban's yes men will have no idea what to do with them. We're about to see Bobby Bowden's last years replayed in Tuscaloosa.

Ok, so what happens when all the best players on this team are in the NFL next year? Do you trust this staff to develop their replacements? lol

Is Leary going to be available for UK?
Posted on 11/6/23 at 12:56 pm to TommyM
Alabama is capable of laying an egg against UK. They did against Texas, South Florida, Arkansas, and the first half against UT.
I don't think UK matches up well with Alabama scheme wise though so not sure UK can take advantage of a lackluster Bama performance.

During his Monday press conference, head coach Mark Stoops declined to say for sure that Devin Leary is good to go this week when the Kentucky Wildcats host the Alabama Crimson Tide.
However, Stoops did say Leary can see better out of the eye that was bothering him in the win over Mississippi State.
“He (Leary) was having a hard time reading off the wristband at that moment,” Stoops said. “He can read it now.”
