Texas DC, Pete Kwiatkowski's defense held Jalen Hurts to 7/14 passing for 57 yards and zero touchdowns and only 57 yards rushing on 19 carries in the 2016 CFP. If his scheme could contain Hurts, it can contain Milroe.

Texas 31, Bama 24

Doesn't matter. Ya'll will be scared by the crowd and being in a foreign land.

You are 17-21 outside the state of Texas since 2009.

Best thing about Texas moving to the SEC is that you won't get to play almost all of your games in the state of Texas with Texas based refs.

Bryce Young rushed for a 5.4ypc average last year vs that DC nobody has ever heard of and he wasnt a DTQB

Apart from his 20 yard amazing escape artist scramble he ran 6 times for 18 yards. We can live with that.

Defensive strategy for a true dual threat is a lot different then a pocket passer. They’ll want to contain Milroe, where they wanted to pressure Young. Young was pretty good with pressure on him too.

Milroe is 30 pounds heavier and faster than Bryce. In his 3 games as QB1 he has averaged having a long run of 45 yards.

Milroe is going to play tight because he grew up a Texas fan in Houston and his subconscious wants us to succeed. I predict 2 interceptions.

Pete Kwiatkowski was not coaching with the donghorns when Hurts was playing college ball. Kwiatkowski's team lost the game 7-24. 'bama did not need Hurts to carry the ball during that game. The game was pretty f'ing boring as I recall.

Good luck with 'bama. You are going to need it

Pretty sure our OC was drunk and got canned after that game.

UW also had some serious star power on that defense.

The Bama offense and playcalling chess match will be most interesting aspect of the game.

If I’m Saban I go conservative and run heavy playing at home. Taking a few deep shots when one on one opportunities exist.

Saban knows that Texas needs to force turnovers…

I don't think he's the rushing threat that Hurts was, or at least isn't better. Could be proven wrong on Saturday. I'm not confident of any prediction in this game, but I do think the Texas defense will have an excellent game plan for containing Milroe.

He most certainly is.

This is the same Kwiatkowski Texas D that gave up 57 points to Kansas and their dual threat QB in 2021?
41 points to Okie State and their dual threat QB last year?

Huh? Running the ball is Milroe’s predominant skill set. He is primarily a running back.
