Kirby has the chance to be better than Saban

Will probably get downvoted, and that makes sense. Kirby is relatively young, and has his program in the right direction. Could he end up as a greater coach than Saban when his career is over? I think so. I'll doubt he will test the NFL.

Not a chance, nobody does for that matter.

No he will not be the greatest coach in the history of the sport.

We will all be dead before Saban 2.0 comes around, and that is assuming another one comes around.

This is stupid. People thought O would rattle off 3-4 more natty’s too. Don’t be a prisoner of the moment.

I didn’t read the post, just saw the title and specifically came here to downvote you. Nobody is or will be better than Saban. Every coach will simply have to just coach longer than Saban in order to have sustained success at winning titles.
Good news for LSU fans is that we now have the one coach with as many total wins (or more) as Saban. I like our odds.

Nah, someone pops up every 30 years or so. Saban was about 30 years post Bear. Nebraska and Notre Dame both had "the best coach ever" before Bear came along.

Why don’t we wait about projecting things like this until he has multiple national titles?

Let me do one now:

Good grief dude, they won their first title in 41 years by beating a team that destroyed them 2 games earlier (in a year where there were no superteams).
Let's not get carried away.
Alabama and Ohio State are loaded next year, the odds of Georgia winning next year are slim to none.

So does every coach under 50.

No one will ever be.
The “number 2” coach, whether that be Bryant or someone else, aren’t even close.
Very few recent coaches have won a NC as HC at multiple schools.
No coaches have had the consistency Saban has had to rack up those NCs and Conference championships. Even with his most flawed team in a while, he won the SECCG against the eventual champion.
He’ll likely win the NC next season despite the rapidly changing landscape of the game. Alabama will likely never repeat this success again, and I doubt any coach ever will anytime soon.
Bear Bryant couldnt do it and he had way more advantages than Saban.
It’s not just about the number of championships, Saban has his team in the running every year in the hardest division in the sport. No other program has had that consistency. None ever will.
