What good comes from locking up a 14 year old kid?
Everybody that worked at cane's when they were only in BR knows the recipe.
It can be 10 or more degrees cooler on the north shore than working in the business district in NOLA, almost everyone asks me about the cold and or fog daily. It's just small talk, I don't know why it bothers you. At least they aren't talking about their favorite/hated Democrat/Republican when they are talking about the weather.
We have some great orange options in Louisiana. Hamlin sweet is the traditional Louisiana orange. I have cara cara, valencia, moro blood and washington navel in addition to hamlin sweet. They all produce well and with the varieties you can have oranges just about year round. It's hard to grow a bad orange among the named varieties.

Couple of our terminals have mexican food trucks that roll by. Best damned burritos you'll find and they're like $5. I load up every time I see em.

The undocumented trucks with undocumented workers are the best. If there is no English on the menu you hit the trifecta of good, cheap, fast that exists no where else.
We don't need to regulate, we need to outlaw purse seine fishing for any reason, you know like most of the modern world.

Not buying a house cost you money long term.

I rented a house for a year, I wasn't sure if I wanted to live here long term and the market was sky high with peak interest rates. A year later I bought the house from the owner, he wanted to finance it for reasons, he was 1.5% cheaper than the bank and no PMI, no fees, and about $40k than similar houses were going just a year earlier.

I saved an arse load renting for a while and if I would have wanted to move after a year I would have lost my arse if I bought a house in the neighborhood.

Renting isn't always bad.

They are still seeing illegals too.

You can't turn them away. You can't turn anyone away. Even if you could there are ethical issues if you start turning people away because of where they were born or where you think they were born. But sure, blame medical professionals for government failures.

Oh, and OLOL is a shitty organization, unethical as all get out (They call it "Catholic Ethics"), and honestly if you are in BR go anywhere else unless you are in a trauma situation, then let them put you back together and GTFO.
Kind of feels he missed the biggest offenders in the city with this one.
Nah, not on gumbo, but I have seen red beans and rice with a lil ketchup and it aint bad.
Trump does look bad without any help.

Republicans look bad, they are cheering higher taxes, even in this thread!

Yeah, the democrats look terrible too, but that doesn't mean anything about this administration is remotely fiscally conservative.

re: Raised Garden Bed Build Info

I have done grow bags, raised beds, pots, etc. etc. I moved back into the ground this year and it is so much easier. Yeah, the ground is farther away from me than a raised bed or grow bag but it holds moisture better and honestly is cheaper. I basically square foot garden directly in the ground. At first my dirt was hard but now I can stick my broad fork down completely into the ground with pretty much just gravity.

I did amend the ground with peat moss to improve moisture retention and compost, but just growing the plants in that space and not stepping on it after has really loosened up my soil.

I did install edging to keep runners out, but it is at grass height, its not proud of the ground. I just ran my edger around the garden and slid in the metal edging and my mower can go over it. It really is more for pennywort than the grass, but it does make it easier to get the grass runners too.
So that's why I couldn't access any remote files this afternoon. I honestly didn't care enough to figure it out...

If you know for a fact that the cavities are full up to the plywood board i would thing this would be fine; otherwise, blowing in to fill would be first priority.

It has batting rolled everywhere I can see.

I was thinking to blow half to 2/3's of the attic with blow insulation and then use foamboard over the rest with the reflective side up. I just don't want to cause any issues with moisture where it shouldn't be
The previous owner lined the attic wall to wall with plywood or 2X material, it is nice to have all the space but lets be honest, I don't want to fill up basically the entirety of the house footprint with junk, what I do want to do is add some insulation, because everyone knows enough to fit in between the rafters is just not enough.

Everything is nailed down, I really don't want to undo any of it. I was considering just rolling fiberglass batt insulation over the harder to reach areas and then foamboard on top of the areas I still want to use for storage, which might be 25% of the space I have.

It is pretty wide open up there, I can get to every corner and insulating the attic ceiling would be easy, but I am not sure that is how things are done.

I bought a whole head of garlic today at walmart for 72cents.

I don't grow for cost savings, it cost more the way I do it if I am being honest. What I do grow for is better quality. That bland white garlic at Walmart does not compare to the varieties you can grow at home.

We need softneck garlic down here for the most part, I am trying a couple hard necks this year but my bulk planting will be soft necks.
The problem is not that items on the list, the problem is that we created a welfare state where a young woman can have five babies with five daddies and the state will give them Cash, food stamps, free housing, free internet, free phones, free food and she will collect checks from most of the daddies for 18 years. Oh, and most likely she will get free child care so she can not be bothered by her "jobs".

That system is not sustainable and we are lucky MORE don't abuse it.

I am not sure it is effective to restrict the items on the list, I think it would be more effective to put limitations the amount of time you can collect welfare while not being disabled.

Absolutely horrible as a daily driver.

What are you towing that needs more than a 1/2 ton?
