It is not common for a true freshman to start but it does happen. Bo Nix started his freshman year. If Deuce looks like the strongest option preseason, I think he has a decent chance at landing the starting job.

There is always that chance however can he make the jump from high school to college and the SEC level in one year? Look how many busts at QB AU has had since Cam. JJ was suppose to be the real deal and he folded like a cheap suit.

Depends on " how he looks in practice" jidgijg by what freezus told us all season.
