I would be okay with that. What bothers me is I can't shake the sinking feeling that we thought we had our guy and did not do our due diligence by continuing the search until the ink was dry on the contract

Freeze was picked because Cohen couldn't close on Kiffin. Just like he had Sumrall begging for the job this time and he somehow blew that one at the end too, which is why we are now going to default to the DC from our LOSING football team. Cohen has been a colossal failure.
But sorry, I forgot: Kiffin's daughter made a PowerPoint presentation which is why he isn't here today. Anyone who believes that is a total moron. If he wasn't going to do what it took to secure Kiffin, then he shouldn't have pursued him at all and they could have avoided Freeze entirely.

..........and apparently you have zero clue how college athletics work. Did you not read how the Sumrall/UF thing went down? That is how college football works..........whether you like it or not.

Cohen was AD and led search that ended with Freeze.
He may not have picked Freeze but he failed as AD to rally boosters towards a better option of which there were many

Correct. The AD's job is to convince the boosters on who the correct coach should be.

I still don't understand how Bama managed to convince Little Bahr and their boosters to give Saban full control.
Yes he had been successful at LSU with a title, but he wasn't the world beater he became at Bama, and he was coming off an ugly couple of years in the NFL.
