Dilly giving a non-denial denial about leaving ASU. Let me know if you think it's a denial or what.

There is no way he is not contemplating AU, LSU, UF, and Penn State. Three of the biggest SEC jobs open at once and one of the biggest B-10 jobs. (Not to mention Arky being open too). Once these jobs fill this year, they will be locked down for 3-4 years.

As for other SEC jobs: Bama isn't coming open anytime soon. UGA definitely isn't. aTm and Tenner look set. OU might be open in a year or two (maybe), but not a good gamble. Sark will probably be at Texas for a while unless he wants to leave.

So if you're looking to move to the SEC, I can't think of a better time in recent memory. Dilly is only 35, so maybe he has no issue waiting several years to make a jump. That could be the case.

Dilly ain't got no dog in him if he don't want one of these jobs.

On the other hand Kiffin is about to leave a job he could retire at and have statues built but he wants to win natty's so peace out Ole Miss

Not that it will happen, but in all seriousness what does Florida or LSU have that we don't?

Seems like during Covid LSU was so broke they were talked about football cutbacks. Is their financial.situation really any better? We both have championship ceilings, both are very impatient, we just seem to have more money.

Something at Florida seems to be broken since Spurrier left. Outside of Tebow falling in their laps they haven't been great. Now you have to compete with not only Miami and FSU, but all the other schools are getting better and in the mix for players. Is that job really more attractive? Championship ceiling too, very impatient, all that same stuff.

Seems like we should be in the mix for anyone they are?

LSU has the insane talent of Louisiana on lockdown and have had more recent success on the field. I think that talent advantage is what historically made it a super attractive job. But with NIL today, maybe not as much as it was 5 years ago. Prior to NIL about the only coach who could poach the top players out of there was Saban or maybe Kirby here and there. Everyone else got players LSU had already picked over.

I think UF and AU are almost dead equal programs. All the metrics prove this. Both have 8 SEC titles. UF has one extra natty (if you don't want to count AU in 2004, 1993, etc). Both have 3 Heismans. AU leads the series all-time, but UF leads it since Spurrier got there in 1990. Both have very close numbers of past All-Americans. Both have stadiums of 87-88,000 that are known for being loud. Both were behind on facilities and built a brand new facility at about the same time. Both schools are in their worst 4 to 5 year stretch in modern history as well. A lot of parallels.

I don’t get the Brohm hype. He’s a great offensive mind but he doesn’t seem anything more than a Bobby Petrino/Gus Malzahn type hire. Will win and be competitive but never get over the hump to own the conference. His recruiting hasn’t been stellar either.

UF has something of the same recruiting advantage that LSU does. Yes, LSU is the only P4 school in Louisiana compared UF being one of 3, technically 4. But Florida produces a ton of talent and can easily support those programs. If UF gets back to winning even just a bit it is much easier to keep kids close to home there than get them to go out of state.

All those things that used to matter don't anymore. Like AC/DC said, listen to the money talk

In that Dilly interview, he said, “it’s about the relationships you build along the way” at the beginning and at the end. Hmmm.

Top 25 Ds at Purdue and Louisville

Not seeing how you figure that. They were 35th in scoring defense in 23, 56th in 24, and so far are 34th this year. At Purdue was 34th in scoring defense in 21, and 74th in 22. If Brohm would be bringing him along I would probably not be so interested. He seems pretty average.

Dillingham has to say that shite to keep his team focused. I'm not saying that means, "He gone," but the distraction could derail ASU's season... What's left of it, anyway.

I mean, Dilly could very easily not be interested. He's from Scottsdale and is making 6 mil a year at a school that will be fine with him winning 8 games a year, and be ecstatic if he wins 10 games every few years. Not to mention Scottsdale is an awesome place to live, and he literally lives right next to his family there where he grew up.

If he's looking to compete for championships consistently then a team like LSU, FL or us makes a ton of sense. But if he's looking to settle in to a 15-20 year career ASU makes way more sense. I think this off-season will definitely tell us if Dilly is going to chase championships or be a guy like Matt Campbell that's just happy making good money with solid records at a lower school.

Do you not understand context? I got bad info on him being top 25 at Purdue but 34th AT PURDUE ain't far off. DJ is one of the best but Ron is damn good too. Brohm thinks he can win with him and he's been right so far. When you start wondering about what kind of staffs Brohm can put together Ron is a big green flag.

Louisville is top 25 in a number of categories this year. It's like he and brohm both just keep getting better.
