If people are winging 6 figures at candidates to undercut us it’s not necessarily all on him.

Exactly. He had to know how hot Sumrall's name was. He knew two teams were going to lose the Kiffin Sweepstakes. He had to know those teams would turn their attention to Sumrall.
Knowing all that, he still didn't lock Sumrall down with a signed contract? He's either stupid (fire him), incompetent (fire him), or he thought Durkin was a legit default hire (fricking fire him).

Im not predicting anything. Just this is how every coaching search goes. Fans think they have it figured out and then meltdown when it's someone else.

That’s the exception and it was a leak. Not the norm. Coaches typically don’t put anything on paper during the season for a damned good reason.
