We'll definitely see a lot more passing in the next couple of weeks. I think we'll be much more balanced by Oklahoma.

Jackson played hard and he ran hard. I like that. Just want to see him more confident in the passing game.
But man, you could see his progress just in this game. In the 1st Qtr he looked hesitant and scared a bit. In the 4th Qtr he looked cocky and confident.
It is going to be fun watching his growth this year.

Agreed. Okie's front is really good so we will have to be balanced at a minimum.

Most important is the win. They now have something concrete they know they need to work on.
I remember seeing us play Wash. St in the opener in 2013. This is familiar. They got it done but there were a lot of things you could tell were deficient. By the end of the season, that team was many light years better.

I loved the offensive game plan. Run the ball if you’re killing them with it.
Im right there with you. I got a little concerned right before halftime that Hugh was backsliding into old habits of trying to force the passing game to work when the run game was killing them. But he showed me something in the 2nd half just taking what the defense gave us.
The FOX crew actually did a decent job of breaking down how the offense was making Baylor show their hand and based off that, how AU exploited it. LB is outside? Hand it off. LB playing the edge? Throw it to Singleton and let him get up field. Great plan and great execution.

They will have no idea what our offense will do. We will sling it soon enough
We have 2 games where the passing game can work out the kinks. Get Arnold some confidence by going on a little heater against Ball State and South Alabama before having his Heisman campaign kickoff in earnest with his return to Norman.

I think we ran a kickoff back in that one.
I was there.
It was hot and sweltering.

Linebackers were poor in pass coverage as well
Yeah, it was a little surprising to see Riddick get worked like he did a few times in pass coverage.

Jackson Arnold: "Swallowed my pride in the passing game."
Hugh Freeze chimed in: "That was hard for both of us."
From the post game press conference I think.
Edit. GoCrazy beat me.

i was very pleased with our offensive game plan, and equally disappointed in our defensive execution

Maybe Freeze playing golf is helping his coaching.
Don’t try to force things.
Fairways and greens.
Good win tonight.

Yeah idk either. He can get a little corny and say some weird stuff at times ("There'san orgy in the endzone!"

I'm pleased. Offense did what it needed to do and special teams were a plus. Defense played a lot of players and there were some busts and tackling issues but holding a good offense to 24 on the road is nothing to be too upset about.

Good Lord. what a massive turnout for a win over Baylor.
Can't say the students and fanbase doesn't support it's teams

One thing that was interesting. We pretty much only ran 3 WR sets the whole game, unless we were in a 2 te set. We were super vanilla all night.
