We were winning despite Bo’s performance, now we are losing because of him

I don’t blame him - he is just a true freshman but there is no possible way he gets all these accolades from the national media without our defense keeping us in the games. Will he be elite in the future? Absolutely. He made one great throw against Oregon - outside that his performance has left a lot to desire

All freshman will get better except for Auburn’s QB.

Meh, he is playing well for a TF. He hasn't made boneheaded plays that would swing momentum like Stidham last year. If he connects on 2 or 3 of the deep shots he has overthrown, it changes the way he is viewed dramatically.

I'm pleased with his decision making right now. That's all you can ask out of a guy in his position. Not to go lose games. The accuracy and stats will come when he grows more comfortable leading the guys.

It's a team sport. He doesn't have to go win by himself. But he could absolutely lose games by himself. And he hasn't.

I’ve actually been curious why the media has hyped him so much

Post game show they acted like Bo won the game for us

I’m not sure where the hype comes from either.

He isn’t all world but your opening statement is moronic.

Saying “We are winning despite Bo’s performance” makes it sound like Bo has played poorly... which is absolutely not true

Did he turn the ball over yesterday? Other than a few over throws enlighten me on what he did poorly

I’m genuinely curious how you’ve come to this conclusion

Yeah, I wouldn’t go there. He does a good job of throwing the ball away, keeping plays alive and ran the zone read pretty well yesterday. He also gets critical plays when we need them.

Bump. Think Gatewood at least deserves a chance to start. We are wasting a historically good defense on a shitty quarterback

It's the same QB song and dance every year of Gus.

QB needs to do only three things

1- Run the read option effectively
2- Throw passes at LOS
3- Throw 25+yd passes

Right now Bo does a good job at 2/3 and we are winning. Against elite teams, we probably will lose but who knows

I personally think Gatewood fits better. That said, Bo is doing a good job

Don’t put a ridiculously false OP up and not expect to be called out on it. You are in fact a moron if you believe this to be true.

You have given other statements that are equally uniformed and false. It requires one to consider you moronic or maybe mentally challenged.

I like the young man. He'll get better game by game.
Kid is tough, humble and understands the game.
Anyone who expects more at this point of his college career is confused as hell or simply clueless.

Nix is a gamer which is something you can’t teach.

Post doesn't make sense. Kid is a baller and played extremely well for a true freshmen. Did he overthrow a couple of times? Yea sure, but he's a freshman. I especially like how we can develop the flea flicker play he had Hastings open but overthrew it. Such is life.

I see improvement each week when adjusting for level of competition

Also has ice in his veins and that isn’t something you can teach. We haven’t seen it here since Nick Marshall

I think the OP is worried that we will waste our defense more than anything. He’s not saying he can’t get better; he’s saying we don’t have the time to wait on it.
Nix is a clutch QB in the end, but he threw for 100 yards in SEC play and that won’t keep up with LSU, Georgia, and Bama. He was clutch, but without the mistakes he wouldn’t have to be clutch. Same for Oregon.
