not all counties have. We had somebody next to us be confirmed and they shut down the beaches in that county. On the news tonight, some of those people visiting were talking about how they just came over here. Ours is open, but is being patrolled and people are being forced to keep some distance from one another.

ETA the local restaurants have either closed or are at 50% capacity.

Hopefully they all go home and the ones planning trips in the next few weeks just stay away.

All things relative, getting infected with COVID sucks, while being healthy but quarantined sucks less. Being healthy, and quarantined, and not able to go to the beaches after booking a room months ago and probably too late to get a refund is a gut punch. If your town doesn’t want COVID being spread, cancel and refund the bookings.

Not yet. People around here have been taking advantage of their "quarantines" and going to the beach, while I'm still having to come into work.

Going to get tested in a little bit

Symptoms: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dry cough, very mild sore throat.

Haven’t knowingly been in contact with any positive tests but I have been going to work.

I could be wrong, but dont think vomit/diarrhea are symptoms... this is a respiratory disease, not a stomach bug.

That’s what I thought too, but doctor friends are saying digestive issues has been a common sign. Now being forced to go get tested by in-laws and wife, which I understand.

According to this link, vomiting was prevalent in some of the Chinese patients.

The study population included 138 hospitalized patients with confirmed NCIP. The median age was 56 years (IQR, 42-68; range, 22-92 years), and 75 (54.3%) were men. Of these patients, 102 (73.9%) were admitted to isolation wards, and 36 (26.1%) were admitted and transferred to the ICU because of the development of organ dysfunction (Table 1). The median durations from first symptoms to dyspnea, hospital admission, and ARDS were 5 days (IQR, 1-10), 7 days (IQR, 4-8), and 8 days (IQR, 6-12), respectively (Table 1). Of the 138 patients, 64 (46.4%) had 1 or more coexisting medical conditions. Hypertension (43 [31.2%]), diabetes (14 [10.1%]), cardiovascular disease (20 [14.5%]), and malignancy (10 [7.2%]) were the most common coexisting conditions.

The most common symptoms at onset of illness were fever (136 [98.6%]), fatigue (96 [69.6%]), dry cough (82 [59.4%]), myalgia (48 [34.8%]), and dyspnea (43 [31.2%]). Less common symptoms were headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting (Table 1). A total of 14 patients (10.1%) initially presented with diarrhea and nausea 1 to 2 days prior to development of fever and dyspnea.

Compared with patients who did not receive ICU care (n?=?102), patients who required ICU care (n?=?36) were significantly older (median age, 66 years [IQR, 57-78] vs 51 years [IQR, 37-62]; P?<?.001) and were more likely to have underlying comorbidities, including hypertension (21 [58.3%] vs 22 [21.6%], diabetes (8 [22.2%] vs 6 [5.9%]), cardiovascular disease (9 [25.0%] vs 11 [10.8%]), and cerebrovascular disease (6 [16.7%] vs 1 [1.0%]). Compared with the non-ICU patients, patients admitted to the ICU were more likely to report pharyngeal pain, dyspnea, dizziness, abdominal pain, and anorexia.

We’re very close to a shut down Denver by nature of what’s left open. But there’s a high probability we’ll go officially into a lock down today. Governor speaks in an hour and a half.

Stocked up on booze. Otherwise, we’ll still have access to restaurant to-go, grocery stores, etc

Wife is home, finally sleeping. Back in tomorrow but not for as long. She says the hospital is kicking arse so far

Yeah, that is the symptom that seems to get the most response.

I have my first annual check up in the last 10 years on the 31st and can't get the doctor's office to call me back to either have me come in or reschedule.

We may already have a covid preventative drug that can be deployed before a covid vaccine is made.

Summary
Recent guidelines from South Korea and China report that chloroquine is an effective antiviral therapeutic treatment against Coronavirus Disease 2019. Use of chloroquine (tablets) is showing favorable outcomes in humans infected with Coronavirus including faster time to recovery and shorter hospital stay. US CDC research shows that chloroquine also has strong potential as a prophylactic (preventative) measure against coronavirus in the lab, while we wait for a vaccine to be developed. Chloroquine is an inexpensive, globally available drug that has been in widespread human use since 1945 against malaria, autoimmune and various other conditions.

I still think this is post of the year. I shared it, acted like I found it on my own and now look ahead of the curve on my other internet blogs who don’t really know who I am either.

Hopefully their those overseas trials are credible. I read it was only 40 patients and had an 100% cure rate. That’s pretty unheard of
