I don't own anything they make but I would love it if they did this. If AU was the first team we would take some flak. But others would follow.

If the lululemon yoga pants thing is what destroys a good idea I will submit that I have worn football pants many times and some football pants look silky, kinda feel silky, and might as well fit like yoga pants. I remember one time my coach slapped me on my arse and he made an arse cheek jiggle and he more than likely felt it because the football pants felt so damn thin. That was an awkward couple seconds.

They dont make football pants like they used to,,, for those wide hip pads and the huge knee pads with the yugeeeee yellow sweat stains.

I played in super shiny-arse pants too. Come to think of it, we were looking pretty fabulous back in those days.

Were you at Penn State summer camp for boys when this event happened, jang?

sorry, I don't get this narrative. I heard their shoes sucked at first. Cam signed with them. If the shoes were that bad, he had other options. The same for Steph Curry. If these guys are signing, they can't be that bad. Money isn't worth it if you are an athlete and wear bad shoes.

Top 10. Tom Brady is number 1

I was reading an article the other day on AU Uniform Database and he was saying that he was leaning that AU would go Nike. That by doing that, both Bo and Barkley (Nike brand ambassadors) could wear official AU gear without having to cover up the logo. In the past when either of them have had on something AU, they cover the UA logo with black tape.

Would hope so, if UA has a big bid, we should also hear them out

I just don't want to deal with UA anymore

It came from athletes currently at the school. They won't even wear Under Armour to train because the gear sucks so bad. They train in their own stuff and then have to switch to Under Armour for games and events. Its turned into a cheap, low quality brand.

I’m fine with Under Armor. They make a lot of good workout gear.

Would y’all really rather go to Nike who has Colin kaepernick representing them among numerous other insufferable athletes?

This.

I would love Jordan but they're under the same umbrella as well.

The lululemon idea is something fun to dream about. We can be basic bitches

Those are a special edition of Stephen Curry’s shoes. His daughter helped design them.

Your logic is incredibly flawed . Athletes signing massive endorsement contracts is completely different than a school deciding what to outfit their athletes in. If Nike offered me $20 million and Burlap R Us offered me $100 million, I’m ballin in burlap. Many times these companies are also promising the athletes specifically designed equipment that they’ll personally have input on so that somewhat negates the “quality” concerns. Cam signed with UA bc they aggressively pursued him due to his Auburn connection. Curry signed with UA bc they allowed him to place a bible verse on his signature shoe and Nike said no. Money is absolutely “worth it” when your endorsements bring in exponentially more than your team contract.

I coach multiple sports and have to purchase the uniforms, equipment, shoes, etc for hundreds of athletes. I receive samples, presentations, etc from every apparel manufacturer you can imagine. UA is and has always been an inferior company to Nike. Nike consistently has the strongest offerings across all major sports and it’s not debatable. I could get into specifics but this post is already long enough.

Oh and lululemon does make great mens apparel. They’re really leaning heavily into their tennis line right now and they’re also testing out some golf apparel. BSN offers select lululemon apparel for team orders and it sells out before anything else. Granted these aren’t uniforms but they’re trending more in that direction every year.

I think your logic is flawed.

Cam's rookie contract was $22M over four years. I think he could have gotten by on Nikes $20M contract...........if the UA shoes are so bad.

I could go down the list and say the same for every single one of the UA athletes.

Like my point was..........if the UA shoes are so bad, none of these athletes would have signed with them. The feet of athletes are kind of important and not one of them would have signed, and wore garbage shoes, just for the money.

Shoes are something they wear every time out. It's not some product they hold up and then walk away from. That's just kind of common sense.
