Throwing it AWAY is an option. That's what I'm talking about

God, I forgot about that one. It’s like every time they needed saving.

The gameplan was wrong. Plain and simple. Idk what else he was supposed to do though. If we tried to establish the run from the get go we probably still struggle to move the ball. We knew OU was gonna say beat us with your arm Jackson. And he couldn't. Now why our passing game and route concepts dont look like everybody elses???? Hugh, learn the fricking meta dude.

This aint my first rodeo. Since Sean White has been on the plains Ive seen QBs looks like sitting ducks out there.
Arnold was sacked 10 times today. How many of those were due to him holding the ball over 3 seconds?

Yea, at this point our special teams coach needs to be gone at a minimum. He is atrocious. I don’t blame kicking on him, those guys have their own coach, but our coverage, blocking and returning is just awful and always get penalties. They continually make poor decisions and have awful awareness.

Some of the "holding the ball too long" is because routes taking time to develop

And that goes back to coaching if so. Arnold was routinely taking 4-5 seconds plus to get the ball out. No offense is going to realistically have that amount of time consistently against a good defense.

But the true situation is that Arnold is painfully slow making decisions and Hugh sucks at play calling. Both are the case, and why our offense is still mediocre as hell despite having talent all over the field.

Other than that, the OL looked awful. I think OU’s DL could be the best we play… but yikes

They are elite, but our guys have to be better than they played today.

A bunch of those sacks were on JA but they got pushed around in the run game. And the penalties. Holy shite dont move until the ball is snapped 65.

Well I feel like there’s a grey area between now and 1 million interceptions… like a throwaway.

He simply doesn’t know how to coach a good passing game in 2025. His little RPO crap from 2014 is a disaster now. He can’t identify a good QB. Or he can’t get one that wants to play in his offense.

Only reason I’m not calling for Deuce is because I have no faith in Hugh to get a good QB or coach them.

He also won’t throw it to a guy that has a 1v1. Guys may have a defender on them but if you throw with timing, you can throw guys open or let them adjust to a ball that a defender can’t.

The refs sucked, but Okie racked up the flags too.

How many more should there have been? I saw four blatant PI's on them not called. I saw a TD for us taken off the board. I saw them get a TD on a penalty play. The refs decided the outcome of the game...........not the players.

Our OLine sucked arse today. They single handed lost the game.

Other spots weren’t great, but hod enough to win. OL was BAD.

And this could be Jackson not seeing the field or throwing with anticipation but I haven't seen us do what OU did in the second half during Hugh's entire tenure. Picking up first down after first down with the short pass game. TE posts over the middle.

Arnold had two years at OU before he arrived here. Do you really think two different staffs haven't tried to correct an obvious problem with his play? I am typing this as a fan. They are paid multi-million dollars to do their job. If I can identify a problem, don't you think they saw it a long time before the fan and have tried to fix it?

I had been reserved in our OL coach until we got players in. His recruiting has been suspect but was giving him benefit of the doubt. I’ll give him another game or two but with the talent we have, if that is what we get out of them, he is not an SEC coach.

They were routinely giving Arnold 4 seconds to throw, against one of the best defenses in the country.

On paper, it looks like the OL did bad, but the QB is more than culpable.

Yep. I almost made a post about that today but I want to reserve that for when they face the meat of their schedule.
