I'm not sure that I've ever seen an overreaction like this in my lifetime.

I know it sucks but I don't think it's an overreaction. There's probably a lot of people carrying this who don't even know it because of lack of testing or their symptoms just aren't that serious. Yeah, it's not life-threatening for most, but probably better to be safe than sorry for the sake of those who are more vulnerable.

Plus this probably entirely a reaction to the NBA ruling and that idiot Rudy Gobert.

You can expect spring practice to go this route as well. At least we already have our QB.

It seems like an easy solution would simply be to play without the fans. That would seem to be the appropriate response here. Whole nation is losing its mind. Be smart - but don’t overreact

what if the NBA had done that? Would Gobert have passed it along if nobody was there to see it?

Totally agree. Last night I was defending all the "audience-free" decisions but now I find myself on the other side of the argument..

Then you ban the player and test the team he was with.

That's what has happened.......and three NBA players are infected at the moment. One on a team he played against.

.....now imagine having that happen to student-athletes who are amateurs.

Not sure about 3, but definitely 2 and with the how contagious this thing is, it's almost assured that it will spread on the team and the teams they've played.

They tested 60 players/staff between the two teams and Mitchell was the only other positive test.

Michael Jordan played in a game with the flu and he's a legend for it. People get sick now and they shut the whole thing down. What happened to this country?

Yea...but when Michael did that we knew a ton more about the flu than this thing...its the unknown that is causing the reaction. Praying it will mitigate sooner rather than later.

The unhinged hysteria is going to hurt a lot of people. Badly. Over normal everyday life.

But there is money to be made with fear porn and a large population addicted to being scared.
